Mid-Week Football Boots Spotting 24/02/11

Mid-Week Football Boots Spotting 24/02/11

With all the mid-week action in the Champions League and Premier League this week, we thought we'd treat you to a bonus mid-week boots spotting! Check out what boots were on show and what players have made it into our bonus boot spotting edition...

Nicolas Anelka (Chelsea) adidas F50 adiZero

Since switching from the Puma v1 range, Nicolas Anelka has become a strong advocate of the original adiZero boots. The French striker has resisted any temptations to switch to the new adiZero's or adiZero Prime boots and continues to wear a variety of colours of the original adiZero football boots.

Dame NDoye (Copenhagen) Nike Safari Superfly II

Dame NDoye was spotted in a pair of Nike Safari Superfly II football boots on Tuesday night during Copenhagen's Champions League clash with Chelsea. Previously a T90 wearer, NDoye has firmly settled on the Mercurial range.

Emmanuel Adebayor (Real Madrid) adidas F50 adiZero

After previously being spotted in the new unreleased adiZero boots, Real Madrid's on loan striker Emmanuel Adebayor was back in his usual black/electricity leather adiZero football boots in a SG sole-plate during Madrid's match against Lyon.

Julio Cesar (Inter Milan) Mizuno Supersonic Wave

Inter Milans goal-keeper Julio Cesar was spotted in a great looking pair of Mizuno Supersonic Wave football boots during their Champions League clash with Bayern Munich. The Milan shot-stopped has removed the black Mizuno branding from the boots, leaving a classy looking white-out Supersonic!

Gabriel Obertan (Manchester United) Nike Tiempo Legend III Elite

It's no secret Gabriel Obertan was wearing Nike Legend boots during United's FA Cup game with Crawley Town. Unfortunately, we couldn't get our hands on any images for that game, but we've managed to spot the French winger wearing the White/Volt Elite Nike Tiempo Legend III boots during United's pre-match training session in Marseille.

Loic Remy (Marseille) Puma King XL

Previously a Puma v1.08 wearer. Loic Remy has made the switch to the Puma King XL football boots. An unusual choice for a pacey striker, the young Frenchman was spotted in the heritage Puma boots during their Champions League match with Manchester United last night.

William Gallas (Tottenham Hotspur) Nike Superfly I

William Gallas continues to wear a variation of colours of the original Nike Superfly football boots. The Tottenham defender was spotted wearing the Orion Blue/Metallic Silver Superfly I boots during their defeat to Blackpool.

Gabriel Heinze (Marseille) adidas WC adiPURE III

After previously wearing the adidas adiPURE IV football boots, Marseille's Argentinian defender Gabriel Heinze has changed back to the World Cup editions of the adiPURE III football boots. He was spotted during Marseilles 0-0 draw with Manchester United in the Champions League.

Roman Pavlyuchenko (Tottenham Hotspur) adidas F50 adiZero Prime

Two of adidas' adizero players were on show during Tottenham's Premier League game with Blackpool mid-week. Roman Pavlyuchenko was spotted wearing the adidas adiZero Prime football boots, whilst his fellow strike partner Jermaine Defoe, has reverted back to the original F50 adiZero boots.

Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid) Nike Safari Superfly II

As we unveiled yesterday, Cristiano Ronaldo made the switch back to his bespoke Safari Superfly II football boots for Madrid's Champions League clash with Lyon. It might be a move by Nike to maximise exposure, or maybe Ronaldo just fancied a change.

If there are any players and boots you've spotted and think should feature on this page, mail us at: u2us@soccerbible.com putting 'Boot Spotting' in the subject field.
