Worst tackle of the year?

Worst tackle of the year?

Some of our SoccerBible Australian fans might be all too aware of Kevin Muscat and his reputation in the Australian A-League. The Melbourne Victory captains challenge easily tops our list of bad tackles so far this year...

Muscat is no stranger to red-cards and with tackles like this we can see why!

Muscat was sent off in the 2-2 A-League draw at Etihad Stadium on Saturday night for this late, high tackle which resulted in 20-year-old Zahra being carried from the field.

Australian reports are suggesting that this could be the end of Muscat's A-League career after the Melbourne Victory captain was banned for eight matches by the Australian disciplinary committee. With three matches left of the A-League season, the 37-year-old will take no further part in the remaining games.

We were amazed to see Muscat actually protesting the sending-off decision after the referee showed the red card! Take a look and let us know what you think...
