Umbro have called on a couple of their big names to launch a cool new range of clothing based around the idea of '1350', the minutes left in the day after the 90 minutes of football have been played!

Darren Bent was joined by Fiorentina midfielder Juan Vargas to launch the 1350 concept, the latest in a series of innovative ideas from Umbro. In a competitive sports market Umbro are forging quite a niche for themselves, with some cool viral videos, clothing and activities. Who can forget the Kasabian concert launch for the England Away shirt, the 5-a-side vs Futsal cartoons and more recently the resurgence of the New York Cosmos with the help of Eric Cantona.

The Umbro 1350 sportwear concept, launches a men's lifestyle collection which takes inspiration from the Umbro archives, and references authentic Umbro brand heritage with the rebirth of the vintage running diamond tape. An icon of the 1970's, the football heritage of the Diamond Icons is rooted in the 1978 World Cup in Argentina, which will forever be held in football folklore as a true sports icon.

The colours in the range have been inspired by the Scotland versus Holland match during the '78 World Cup, a game Scotland won 3-2 thanks to two goals scored by Archie Gemmill. The Scottish navy blue strip features Umbro white diamond taping running down the sleeves of the shirt and jacket. The black with orange taping garments are influenced by the Holland kit and colours, whilst the host nation of the 1978 World Cup, Argentina, are reflected in the crystal blue with white taping colourway.
