Mid-Week Boot Spotting - 10/03/11

Aritz Aduriz (Valencia) adidas F50 adizero

Eagle-eyed boot spotting from SoccerBible user Bob Hordiyenko, who noticed something quite different about Aduriz's soft ground sole-plate. Wearing the original chameleon versions, the sole-plate on the adizero boots feature a unique stud configuration, with soft ground studs near the midfoot but not at the heel.

Welliton (Spartak Moscow) adidas F50 adizero Prime

Caught in the act! Spartak Moscow's Welliton was snapped as he changed out of his regular Superfly football boots and tried on the adizero Prime football boots. A great spot by SoccerBible user Jeginho 9, and we couldn't help but notice the interesting markings on the sole-plate on Welliton's Primes!

William Gallas (Tottenham) Nike Vapor Superfly I

Despite training in the white/volt Nike Tiempo Legend football boots, Gallas still wears a multitude of Vapor and Superfly colourways for competitive matches. Against Milan Gallas opted to wear the orion blue superfly's after previously wearing the yellows.

Craig Bellamy (Cardiff City) adidas F50 adizero

Bellamy has finally succumb to the dark (or light side, depending on which brand you favour) and has switched from Mercurial to adizero. Bellamy has been a long time Vapor Superfly wearer, but was in the standard adizero football boots against Crystal Palace.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic (AC Milan) Nike Vapor Superfly II

Ibrahimovic is still in the cherry Superfly's opting against wearing either the windchill or the black/orange colourways. Also we notice Ibrahimovic is still sporting his custom mixed-stud sole plate similar to the one worn by Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ibrahim Afellay (Barcelona) Puma PowerCat 1.10

Whilst his attacking Barcelona team-mates wear a variety of adizero, CTR and Vapor football boots, Afellay prefers to wear the Puma PowerCat football boots. Certainly an interesting choice for the attacking player, but understandable as they are a power boot.

Sandro (Tottenham) adidas F50 adizero

The sign of a good player is someone who appears to be everywhere on the pitch, and against Milan Sandro showed what a quality player he can be. A tough tackling midfielder who does plenty of running, the Brazilian chooese to wear leather adizero's.

Clarence Seedorf (AC Milan) adidas adiPure IV

A classy boot for a classy player. Despite not progressing in the Champions League, Seedorf gave a performance against Tottenham in his adiPure IV football boots that reminded everyone why he has won three European Cups with three different clubs.

Jefferson Farfan (Schalke) adidas F50 adizero

Star player for Schalke against Valencia, Farfan was a constant threat down the right and scored two quality goals. Wearing the leather adizero football boots, Farfan is another player who chooses not to wear either the Prime or synthetic adizero's.

Heurelho Gomes (Tottenham) Nike CTR360 Maestri

Gomes was in the World Cup Nike CTR360 football boots which were a great match for the Spurs goalkeeper kit with orange and silver detailing.
