Adidas Dominate Champions League Quarter-Finals

Adidas Dominate Champions League Quarter-Finals

Adidas stole the show last night in the first leg quarter-final matches of the Champions League! Across the two matches, an incredible eleven goals were scored, eight of which were scored by adidas players!

An Adebayor brace and a Di Maria stunner along with a late killer blow from Cristiano Ronaldo set Madrid's sights firmly on Wembley as they cruised past a 10-man Tottenham!

At the San Siro, Shalke moved a significant step closer to their first ever European Cup semi-final in an astonishing match. Former Real Madrid and career-long adidas man Raul, inspired the German side to an incredible 5-2 win.

Former Arsenal man and adiZero Prime wearer Emmanuel Adebayor led the Spanish side to a comfortable win with the two opening goals. Currently on loan from Manchester City, adidas will be pleased with the adiZero players re-emergence since his move to the Spanish capital.

Di Maria completed a great night for adidas and Real Madrid with a superb strike wearing his White/Green adidas Predator boots. The Argentine supplied a moment of class befitting of the performance with an unstoppable strike into the top corner of Heurelho Gomes' goal. It looked like it was going to be an all-adidas night at the Santiago BernabÉu until Cristiano Ronaldo ensured his Superfly boots booked their place on the score sheet.

Across Europe in Milan adidas boots were running wild, scoring five of the seven goals in arguably the most memorable match of the tournament. FC Shalke 04 stunned holders FC Internazionale with an incredible 5-2 quarter-final first-leg victory in Italy.

A sublime long range wonder from Superfly III wearer Dejan Stankovic looked to signify the start of a long night for the German side after just 23 seconds! Adidas Predator wearer Joel Matip soon made things level, burying the ball home after some poor Inter defending.

Diego Milito, wearing his leather adiZero boots, looked to ensure the Italians would take a first half lead into the dressing room; only for adiPURE wearer Edu to put Shalke back on level terms before the break!

Long time adidas Predator wearer Raul Gonzalez took his unrivalled competition tally to 70 goals in the second half. The Spanish ace provided the turning point for Shalke after the restart when he slipped around Javier Zanetti and put the ball past Julio Cesar. The holders night went from bad to worse with an own goal from Ranocchia. AdiPURE wearer Edu then completed an historic night for the German side with his second 15 minutes from time!
