Reebok Still in the Game

Reebok Still in the Game

In the current boot climate of multi-million pound player contracts and development to create the lightest and fastest football boots, there is one brand that seems to have been forgotten. But as Ryan Giggs' proved last night, Reebok still have what it takes to perform at the highest level.

For almost two decades, Ryan Giggs playing in Reebok football boots has been one of the world's best and most consistent footballers. Before breaking the deadlock midway through the second half against Schalke in last night s Champions League semi-final, Giggs could have easily scored a hat-trick.

Manchester United manager Ferguson commented:"You would think, at 37, he would be showing signs of waning. I don't see any evidence of that. We look after him in terms of rest before games but when he gets that freshness he doesn't show any sign of fatiguing at all. He is an amazing man."

And this amazing player is doing it all in Reebok football boots. Whilst Nike, adidas and Puma squabble over the speed market, it's easy to forget that at one stage Reebok endorsed the fastest players in the game; Ryan Giggs, Thierry Henry and Andriy Shevchenko.

Last night Giggs was wearing the Reebok Instante Pro football boots, a boot that features a synthetic upper with an engineered mesh for ball control and a power unit in the sole. Giggs seems to be single-handedly keeping the Reebok brand evergreen and competitive, a testament to Giggs to still be doing so after 20 years at the highest level!
