Weekend Football Boots Spotting - 25/04/11

As we prepare for an exciting week of Champions League football, there was the small matter of domestic league business to take care of across the world! Our boot spotters were in fine form, reporting a whole array of exciting spots! Take a look and see who has made it in this week as we bring you our latest SoccerBible boot-spotting edition.

Fernando Torres (Chelsea) Nike T90 Laser III

Fernando Torres finally scored his first goal for Chelsea in his 14th appearance for his new club. His late strike ended a run of 903 minutes of football for Liverpool, Spain and Chelsea without a goal - the longest goal drought of his professional career. The Spanish international was wearing his SG pair of Nike T90 Laser III football boots featuring his son and daughters name.

David Villa (Barcelona) adidas F50 adiZero Leather

Another goal drought came to an end at the Camp Nou as David Villa scored his first goal since February. The Spanish striker found his goal scoring boots once more wearing his leather white/pink/cyan adiZero football boots as Barcelona secured a 2-0 win over Osasuna to maintain their 8 point lead at the top of La Liga.

Gonzalo Higuain (Real Madrid) Nike T90 Laser III

Los Blancos put on a master class aimed directly at Barcelona. Gonzalo Higuain is now a certified Nike player as he scored an impressive hat-trick wearing his new Nike T90 Laser III football boots. Real Madrid claimed a stunning 6-3 victory over Valencia at the Mestalla stadium just days after their Copa del Rey victory.

Deme Ndiaye (Arles-Avignon) adidas F50 adiZero

An interesting spot from Ligue 1 as Arles-Avignon's Senegalese midfielder Deme Ndiaya was spotted in a miadidas pair of F50 adiZero football boots as his struggling side took on Nancy at the weekend. The colour-way has been available since February directly from miadidas.

Mauricio Pinilla (Palermo) Umbro GT Pro

It was great to see the new Umbro GT Pro colour-way on show once more in Serie A as Palermo's Mauricio Pinilla gave the new boots a run-out. Pinilla is a former Nike CTR wearer but recently made the switch to the unique Umbro speed boots earlier this month. Palermo were taking on AC Milan in the semi-final of the TIM cup.

Joe Cole (Liverpool) Nike Tiempo Legend III

Liverpool's forgotten man Joe Cole managed to get himself on the score-sheet for Liverpool as they cruised past Birmingham with a 5-0 victory. The former Chelsea and West Ham player was spotted wearing a personalised pair of Nike Tiempo Legend III football boots as he found the net in the 86th minute on a shocking day for Birmingham City.

Ibrahim Afellay (Barcelona) Puma v1.10 SL

Barcelona youngster Ibrahim Afellay made another appearance for the Spanish Champions wearing his blue Puma v1.10 SL football boots. The Dutchman, who made the recent switch from Puma PowerCats, helped his side claim an important win over Osasuna as the Blaugrana put one hand on the Primer Division trophy.

Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid) Nike CR Mercurial Vapor Superfly

Cristiano has been in tremendous form since his move into the new Nike CR Superfly III football boots. His Madrid team mates took the spotlight though this weekend as Real Madrid prepared for their historic Champions League semi-final clash with a 6-3 victory over a poor Valencia side. Ronaldo, who came off the bench, wasn't on the score sheet as Los Blanco's kept the pressure on Barcelona with an emphatic victory.

Martin Fenin (Frankfurt) Nike Mercurial Vapor III

Frankfurt's Martin Fenin spotted in a pair of Nike Mercurial Vapor III football boots as his side took on Bayern Munich at the weekend. Fenin is known for wearing a variety of the old school Vapor boots, having previously worn Vapor R9's. Released way back in 2006, the Vapor III still looks great on pitch!

Mohamadou Idrissou (Moenchengladbach) Lotto Zhero Gravity Ultra

Lotto boots were having their say in the Bundesliga this weekend as MÖnchengladbach's Mohamadou Idrissou put a spanner in the works of Dortmund's title claim. Wearing a pair of Lotto Zhero Gravity Ultra boots, Idrissou scored the winning goal in the 35th minute.

Ramiro Corrales (San Jose Earthquakes) Puma v1.08

You can always count on the MLS to throw you an old-school boot spot. San Jose Earthquake's Ramiro Corrales was spotted in his pair of white/blue Puma v1.08 football boots as his side took on Chavis USA in Santa Clara, California. The v1.08's became a fan favourite with Puma lovers and still look the business on pitch!

Luke Rowe (New Zealand U20s) Nike CTR360 MaestrI II Elite

Our boot spotters reached the furthest corners of the globe this week. During an U20's international match between New Zealand and the Solomon Islands, Luke Rowe was spotted in an elite pair of white/blue SG Nike CTR360 Maestri II football boots. It's unusual to see this colour-way with an elite sole-plate as there was no official release from Nike.

Sekou Oliseh (CSKA Moscow) adidas F50 adiZero

CSKA Moscow's Sekou Oliseh was spotted in a pair of Chrome adidas F50 adiZero football boots during his sides Russian League match with FC Tom Tomsk. They're still a relatively rare sighting with F50 wearers with the majority wearing the lead colour-ways released by adidas. It's a disappointment that adidas didn't put at least one high profile player into the chrome adiZero's.

Draman Traore (Esperance) Nike Mercurial Superfly II ID

Another unusual sighting here featuring Draman Traore from Tunisian side, Esperance. Traore was spotted in what is presumably an ID pair of green/red Nike Mercurial Superfly II football boots. Esperance hammered Diaraf of Senegal 5-0 during their African Champions League football match at Rades Olympic stadium.

Davide Chiumiento (Vancouver Whitecaps) adidas F50 adizero Leather

Another good spot from the MLS featuring Vancouver Whitecap's Davide Chiumiento who was seen wearing a pair of blacked-out leather adidas F50 adiZero football boots. The Whitecaps were in MLS action against FC Dallas that finished in a 3-1 defeat at Empire Field.
