Weekend Football Boots Spotting - 11/07/11

Weekend Football Boots Spotting - 11/07/11

We certainly haven't been starved of action this summer! The Women's World Cup, U17 World Cup, Copa America and pre-season friendlies continue to provide us with great displays of football boots! Check out the unique selection of soccer shoes that caught our SoccerBible boot-spotters eyes this week!

Carloa Fierro (Mexico U17) Nike Mercurial Vapor VII

Chivas youngster and Mexico U17 striker Carlos Fierro spotted in a pair of Nike Mercurial Vapor VII football boots with electricity coloured laces. It was a reoccurring theme among Mexico's players with a number of the Mercurial wearers pairing their Nike boots with alternate laces.

Lotta Schelin (Sweden) adidas F50 adiZero Women's

Sweden striker Lotta Schelin spotted in the brightly coloured women s adiZero football boots during the Women s World Cup quarter final match against Australia. Despite a plethora of colours across the men's adiZero range, pink has been solely reserved for the women's boots.

Fabrizio Miccoli (Palermo) Nike T90 Laser III iD

No stranger here on SoccerBible, Palermo striker Fabrizio Miccoli is renowned for his unique boot choices. Now the former Superfly III wearer has made the interesting choice to begin pre-season training in a bright pair of Laser III iD football boots - certainly a player to keep an eye on!

Christie Rampone (USA) adidas Predator adiPower Women's

A boot that would undoubtedly have been a big hit if they were released as a men's boot, USA defender Christie Rampone was spotted in the white/pinkadiPower Predator football boots as her side defeated Brazil in the quarter finals of the WWC.

Anatoliy Tymoshchuk (Bayern Munich) adidas F50 adiZero Leather

Bayern Munich defender Anatoliy Tymoschuk is guilty of some rather shocking boot customisation! The Ukrainian player has attempted to black-out his electricity F50 adiZero football boots during a pre-season friendly match against Qatar.

Giovani Casillas (Mexico U17) Nike Mercurial Vapor VII

Another example of Mexico's U17's having some fun with their Vapor VII football boots! Before Mexico's U17 WC Final, Giovani Casillas was spotted in a pair of Plum Red Nike Vapor VII boots with blue laces - a great looking colour combination!

Rachel Yankey (England) Umbro Geometra Pro

England midfielder Rachel Yankey was representing her country's national team brand wearing the new Umbro Geometra Pro football boots during England's WWC defeat to France - a boot we expect to see a lot more off when the new season kicks off!

Arturo Vidal (Chile) Nike Mercurial Superfly III

Chile and Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Arturo Vidal remains one of the only players to be wearing the unreleased orangeMercurial Superfly III football boots! It was Vidal's second competitive performance wearing the new Nike colourway - a sign that a full release is not far away!

Abby Wambach (USA) Nike CTR360 Maestri II Elite Women's

USA duo Abby Wambach and Megan Rapinoe were both spotted wearing the Nike CTR360 Maestri II Elite Women's football boots during their quarter-final epic with Brazil. The USA eventually progressed after an intense penalty shoot-out.

Fatmire Bajramaj (Germany) Nike Mercurial Superfly III iD

German midfielder Fatmire Bajramaj is clearly a fan of football boots! Her latest pair of unique soccer shoes are these great looking black/volt/red Superfly's. They're the third pair of Nike iD boots we've seen Bajramaj wear throughout the WWC tournament. For boot-spotting reasons, it's disappointing Germany s tournament has come to an end!

Zoumana Camara (Paris Saint Germain) Nike Tiempo Legend IV Elite

Paris Saint Germain veteran defender Zoumana Camara was spotted wearng the stand-out Nike Tiempo Legend IV Elite football boots during his sides friendly match against FC Sion. It's been said a million times before, but Nike's new Tiempo's really are impossible to miss!

Ursula Holl (Germany) adidas Predator adiPower Women's

German goalkeeper Ursula Holl gave us a rare glimpse of the black/blue women s adiPower football boots as her national side crashed out of the WWC to Japan. Holl's adiPower's are a more reserved female-specific choice compared to the bright white/pink alternative.
