Boot Spotting - Aguero Debut in Puma v1.11

Sergio Aguero's current Premier League stats read; played 34 minutes, scored two goals and assisted one! Not bad, and not bad for Puma which are the boots Aguero chose to wear to make his Premier League debut...

Sergio Aguero made a devastating start to his Premier League career, leaving his manager (and striking legend himself) Roberto Mancini to compare 'Kun' to Brazilian legend Romario. For Aguero his impact was immediate, almost scoring with his first touch before bagging two goals, creating one, and showing some fine touches as well as an irrepressible work ethic, all of which came from some blacked out leather Puma v1.11 football boots.

Puma have really stepped up their game over the past 12 months, they've confirmed the signings of Mikel Arteta, Steven Pienaar and Thierry Henry, and now seem to be on the verge of signing both Joey Barton and Sergio Aguero, and also from what we've heard have made a huge big-name signing!

The Aguero boot saga is one that has run for some time. After previously wearing Nike and switching between Mercurials and CTR360's, Aguero was then spotted in adidas adiPure, before his coach was kind enough to lend him his Nike Tiempo's. But this week Aguero surprised us all by training in the Puma v1.11, and the boots impressed him enough that he chose to make his Premier League debut wearing Puma.

It's certainly a ringing endorsement for the brand and the boot, because what's key here is that after play testing a host of boots, it was the leather Puma v1.11 Aguero chose to wear.

Before the release of the v1.11, we got an exclusive look at the boot with a blacked-out play test version usually exclusive only to the players and Puma developers. Although our version was a synthetic, you can check out how cool a blacked-out v1.11 looks with our feature here, and you can also check out a leather v1.11 here.

Obviously it's early days, but after week one in the Premier League Puma must be proud that they have the current top goalscorer, and on this kind of form Sergio Aguero could just remain there!

What do we think of Aguero wearing the Puma v1.11 leather football boots? We know he's tried on both Nike and adidas, but it is Puma he is currently choosing to wear. Join the conversations with the SoccerBible community online.
