Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala have bid a staggering 30million euros for Inter Milan's Samuel Eto'o, according to the strikers agent, Claudio Vigorelli.

We have practically reached an agreement with Anzhi, Eto o's agent, Claudio Vigorelli stated. Hopefully, the clubs will now also agree between themselves.

It is being claimed that the Russian outfit have made Inter an offer of between €30m and €40m for the Cameroon striker. It is also being suggested that the player himself will net a massive €17m a season

The wealthy club have Roberto Carlos in their ranks and have been able to conclude a deal for Yuri Zhirkov from Chelsea this summer.

Inter sporting director Marco Branca told www.gazzetta.it: "There has been an informal meeting. "We have listened to their proposal but given it is an important player, it is not a deal you can wrap up in an afternoon. We will reconvene."

The 30 year-old is a four-time African Footballer of the Year and also has two UEFA Champions League titles from his time at Barcelona and his signature would make it easier to attract other marquee names from Europe.

Recent speculation had linked Eto'o with Manchester City as part of a swap deal to take Carlos Tevez to the San Siro but it's looking more likely a move to Russia will lure the Cameroon forward away from Milan.
