Weekend Football Boots Spotting - 12/09/11

Players returned to domestic football this weekend in Europe and amongst a flurry of top new releases on show were some classic and unique spots which always generate discussion between boot fans! A few eagled-eyed boot spotters this week include SoccerBible usersAlex Losev, M L Bui and Dimitri Ivanov, who along with our resident spotters contributed to this week's edition of SoccerBible's Boot Spotting...

Wesley Sneijder (Inter Milan) New Nike Boot

An educated guess would say the boot Wesley Sneijder was wearing at the weekend must be the new T90 Laser! The Inter Milan playmaker has been spotted wearing the new boot in training and as a devoted T90 player we can only imagine that the boot he wore against Palermo has to be the next generation Laser!

Sergio Pinto (Hannover 96) New Nike Boot

Hannover winger Sergio Pinto wore the new Nike boot we've seen some top players training in this week! The stunning colorway gives the boot a distinctive look on the pitch and we've got a feeling this won't be the last time the new-look Nike soccer shoe will be featured in SoccerBible Boots Spotting!

Diego Forlan (Inter Milan) adidas adiPower Predator

Diego Forlan gave a scoring start to his new Champions League edition adiPower Predator's although his goal wasn't enough to prevent Inter going down 4-3 away at Palermo. The new White/Purple release has lured the Uruguay striker out of his trusted Blue/Electricity adiPowers.

Bouna Coundoul (New York Red Bulls) Nike Mercurial Superfly III Custom

Bouna Coundoul gave soccer shoe fans a treat this weekend as the New York Red Bulls goalkeeper wore a pair of customized Nike Mercurial Superfly III cleats in a unique looking colorway! Special mention for the old school double wrap around laces too!

Robin van Persie (Arsenal) adidas adiPower Predator

Another player swapping the Blue/Electricity adiPowers for the new Champions League colorway was Arsenal striker Robin van Persie. The Dutch frontman helped Arsenal to a 1-0 win over Premier League new boys Swansea City.

Djibril Cisse (Lazio) adidas F50 adizero Custom

Djibril Cisse turned out for Lazio in a pair of customised F50 adizero football boots. A blacked out leather upper combined with a mixed sole plate was the choice of footwear for the French striker as Lazio held on for a 2-2 draw against AC Milan.

Vyacheslav Hleb (FSV Frankfurt) adidas F50 adizero Custom

A spot from the Bundesliga second division as Vyacheslav Hleb sported a pair of F50 adizero's that appear to be a customised version of the original Black/White/Electricity colorway. The younger brother of ex-Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder Alexander Hleb, caught the eye of our SoccerBible boot-spotters with this standout choice of soccer shoes.

Lionel Messi (Barcelona) adidas F50 adizero

After giving boot fans a glimpse of the brand new F50 adizero last week for Argentina, Messi returned to his prolific Electricity/Purple adizero's as Barcelona squandered a two-goal lead to draw away at Real Sociedad.

Antonio Nocerino (AC Milan) adidas adiPower Predator

Another player opting for the new White/Purple Champions League adiPower colorway was AC Milan midfielder Antonio Nocerino. Previously wearing the Blue/Electricity colorway, Nocerino used the game against against Lazio to debut his new adiPower's as Milan came from two goals behind to salvage a draw.

Dani Alves (Barcelona) adidas F50 adizero

Amongst a whole host of players debuting the new Blue/White/Slime adizero's was Barcelona's pacey full-back Dani Alves. The Brazilian right back has obviously taken a liking to the new colorway, leaving his long serving Purple/Elec/Infared F50's in the changing room.

Karim Benzema (Real Madrid) adidas F50 adizero Prime

Karim Benzema bagged himself a couple of goals during a weekend of boots spotting dominated by the new adidas F50 adizero Blue/White/Slime football boots. The Real Madrid strikers' double helped clinch a 4-2 win over Getafe to send Madrid to the top of La Liga.

Luis Suarez (Liverpool) adidas F50 adizero

Representing the new adizero colorway in the Premier League was Liverpool striker Luis Suarez. Like Alves, Suarez has ben a committed fan of the Purple/Elec/Infared colorway but chose an away trip to Stoke as the game to slip on the latest release of the ultralight speed boot.

Diego Milito (Inter Milan) adidas F50 adizero

Joining the exclusive club of Inter Milan strikers called Diego who scored in their new boots at the weekend is Arentine forward Diego Milito! No stranger to an adizero colorway, Milito scored twice against Palermo as Inter slipped to a 4-3 defeat.

Kevin Schlitte (FC Erzgebirge Aue) adidas adiPower Predator

Another interesting spot from Germany's second tier as Kevin Schlitte was spotted wearing a pair of blacked out adidas adiPower Predator football boots. A brilliant sight for blackout boot fans, the FC Erzgebirge Aue midfielder sported an adiPower that adopts a sleek and stealth look.

Tim Sebastian (RB Leipzig) adidas adiPure IV custom

The German lower leagues were the place to be for unique boot spots this weekend as our boot spotters delved as far as the fourth tier in German football to spot RB Leipzig captain, Tim Sebastian, wearing a pair of adidas adiPure IV boots with a customised, mixed soleplate!

Christian Obodo (Lecce) Nike Mercurial Vapor SL Custom

A unique choice of footwear from Lecce midfielder Christian Obodo as he rolled back the years to dig out a pair of Pine Green Mercurial Vapor SL's in which he appears to have removed the lace cover! Together with the Lecce kit completes a colorful combo certain to catch the eye!
