Weekend Football Boots Spotting - 26/09/11

Weekend Football Boots Spotting - 26/09/11

Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid) Nike Tiempo IV Elite

Have Nike let another player run down their contract? Sergio Ramos was surprisingly spotted in a blacked-out pair of Nike Tiempo IV Elite boots, just one week after the Laser IV release - a boot we all expected the Madrid star to move into. We'll be keeping a close eye on Ramos when Madrid face Ajax in Champions League tomorrow!

Thiago Alcantara (Barcelona) Nike T90 Laser IV

The boot spot everyone was talking about this weekend! Barcelona's midfield prodigy Thiago Alcantara has bid farewell to his Nike CTR360 boots after making his first performance in the new Nike T90 Laser IV. With such a promising future, having already broken into the best midfield in the world, Nike will have a strong interest in what footwear Alcantara chooses.

Radamel Falcao (Atletico Madrid) Puma v1.11 SL

With Sergio Aguero and Radamel Falcao on their books, Puma have two of the worlds most exciting young strikers wearing their v1.11 boots! After recently wearing the standard synthetics, the Colombian international and Atletico Madrid goal-machine was spotted in his bright green Puma v1.11 SL soccer shoes as his side faced the daunting task of a visit to the Camp Nou.

Arjen Robben (Bayern Munich) adidas F50 adiZero Leather

In the 59 matches Arjen Robben has played for Bayern Munich, he has been involved directly in 57 goals! Not a bad record for the adiZero winger, who was spotted in the Blue/White/Slimeadidas F50 adiZero leather football boots. His F50's will be the spotlight again tomorrow as Manchester City travel to the Allianz Arena.

Jonas (Valencia) Nike Mercurial Superfly III

Valencia midfielder Jonas clearly is a fan of the Nike Mercurial Superfly III, he just doesn't like the colours! Once again the Brazilian midfielder was spotted in a partially blacked-out pair of Granite/Purple/White/Red Nike Superfly's as his side took on Sevilla. Like many, he could be waiting for Nike to release a Mercurial black-out...just don't hold your breath Jonas.

Alessandro Lucarelli (Parma) Mizuno Morelia Ultra Light

As some may have seen last week, Alessandro Lucarelli's Mizuno Morelia Ultra Light boots certainly look the part with Parma's yellow third kit! They also looked great with The Crusaders home kit as Parma took on AS Roma in Serie A action. Lucarelli was spotted in a mixed sole-plated version of Mizuno's ultra light leather boots!

Robin Van Persie (Arsenal) adidas adiPower UCL Predator

We think these boots might find their way into Robin Van Persie's personal collection! The Arsenal and Holland striker netted his 99th and 100th Arsenal goal as The Gunners defeated Bolton 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium. Van Persie achieved his landmark goal record wearing his UCL adiPower Predator boots!

Pablo Mastroeni (Colorado Rapids) adidas adiPURE IV

One of our first spots of the new Black/Electricity/SilveradiPURE IV boots came from the United States as the San Jose Earthquakes took on the Colorado Rapids. Pablo Mastroeni was the man responsible as the Argentine gave his new adiPURE's their first competitive run out at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

Dayro Moreno (Club Tijuana) miadidas adiPower Predator

South American football always throws up some interesting boot spots! The latest boot to catch our eye in the Primera DivisiÓn Mexicana is Dayro Moreno's miadidas adiPower Predator football boots. The Club Tijuana winger was spotted in the unique red adidas boots as his side took on MÉxico Club AmÉrica.

Didier Drogba (Chelsea) Nike Mercurial Superfly III

Didier Drogba returned to action on a day when Fernando Torres piled more misery on himself. Wearing his Nike Mercurial Superfly III football boots equipped with Nike (RED) laces, the Ivorian netted an impressive goal to remind everyone just how dangerous he still is! Will he soon be wearing the new Volt/Purple/Retro colourway...we'd be surprised!

Djibril Cisse (Lazio) adidas F50 adiZero Leather

For a man who's so visually expressive with his tattoo's, Djibril Cisse has been wearing more reserved footwear as of late! Once again the Frenchman turned out for Lazio in a pair of customised blacked-out F50 adizero football boots. - a far cry away from the Electricity adiZero's he was wearing last month!

Armand Traore (QPR) Nike Tiempo Legend IV

Traore's performance was nothing like his understated and subtle football boots, after conceding a penalty and being sent off in an eventful game against Aston Villa! But Theo Walcott rates Traore as one of the fastest players in the Premiership, so it's interesting to see him in Nike Tiempo Legend IV's which he's blacked-out the Swoosh on.

Jonas Gutierrez (Newcastle United) Umbro Geometra Pro

Argentinian winger Gutierrez must have appreciated the blue addition to his latest pair of Umbro Geometra Pro football boots, and with the black and blue making quite a good colour combination, we can surely be expecting to see a few more players around the globe switching.
