Champions League Boot Spotting - 20/10/11

Mid-week Champions League action is always a treat for boot-spotters! Europe s top clubs were in action this week as the world s best club competition returned to our screens! As always, our SoccerBible boot spotters were on high alert to bring you the best of the action!  See who has made it in this week and share your thoughts online, on Twitter and on Facebook.

Jonas (Valencia) Nike Mercurial Superfly III

Valencia forward Jonas has a reputation for blacking out his football boots and his latest pair of Superfly s have been given the same treatment!  The Brazilian international was hard to miss as his side took on Bayer Leverkusen in Champions League action.

Thiago Motta (Inter Milan) Mizuno Morellia

It s great to see the iconic fold-over (maybe not in this case) tongue still in action! Inter Milan midfielder Thiago Motta kept it classic this week wearing the black/white Mizuno Morellia football boots during his sides Champions League Group B match against Lille.

Mikel Arteta (Arsenal) Puma King Finale

Mikel Arteta returned to his former Puma King Finale football boots this week as Arsenal travelled to Marseille. The Spanish midfielder has been a long-time Puma v1.11 SL wearer this season but kept it classic for Arsenal s Champions League away clash.

Yuto Nagatomo (Inter Milan) Nike Mercurial Vapor VII

Inter Milan s Yuto Nagatomo is one of the few professionals that chooses the Vapor edition ahead of the Nike Superfly. Once again, the Japanese international was in action wearing his VoltNike Vapor VII football boots with black laces. An especially great combination with the SG soleplate!

Javier Hernandez (Manchester United) Nike Tiempo Legend IV

We keep expecting to see Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez in the Nike T90 Laser IV, but Chicarito continues to ignore any requests from Nike! The young Mexican was in action for the Premier League champions wearing the new white/goldTiempo Legend IV boots - an update from his usual Legend III.

Sergio Aguero (Manchester City) Puma v1.11

Puma s headline player continues to make the headlines! Sergio Aguero scored one of the most important goals of Manchester City s season with a last minute winner at Eastland s. Wearing his personalized Puma v1.11 football boots, Aguero scored the winner in the 93rd minute!

Mesaad Ali (Al Sadd) adidas F50 adiZero

We hope he didn t get any of that blood on his white boots! Qatar's Al Sadd midfielder Mesaad Ali was spotted in the all white leather F50 adiZero football boots as his side took on the South Korea's Suwon Bluewings during their semi-final football match in the AFC Champions League.

Sergio Canales (Valencia) adidas Predator adiPower

Valencia youngster Sergio Canales made his first performance in the adiPower Predator this week as his side took on Bayer Leverkusen. Up to this point, the on-loan Real Madrid player was continuing his trade in the Predator X. The exciting attacking midfielder could be a big name for adidas in the future!

Nayef Hazazi (Al Itihad) adidas F50 adiZero

All the benefits of the adiZero, but none of the colour - the ideal scenario for many boot fans! Saudi's Al Itihad club Nayef Hazazi was spotted wearing the black-out adizero football boots as his side took on Korea in the AFC Champions League.

Antonio Valencia (Manchester United) Nike Tiempo Legend IV

Once again, Manchester United s Antonio Valencia was in action wearing the white/goldNike Tiempo Legend IV football boots as his side took on FC Otelul Galati. The Ecuadorian midfielder became known for wearing blacked out adiZero boots but looks to have settled in the Nike classics!
