Yaya Toure Interview
Following this weeks big announcement, SoccerBible sat down and chatted with Yaya Toure the latest high-profile name to join the Puma family, and a player having a big impact on the English Premier League!
Yaya Toure is one of the main players behind Manchester City's current success, and has helped them emerge as a powerhouse in global football. But the box-to-box midfielder has been quite particular over his boot choice in recent seasons, so we got the chance to ask Toure about life at City, his team-mates and of course his footwear...
Having played domestic football across 7 different nations, Yaya Toure is an experienced player who's played at the highest level with some of the World's best footballers. He's won countless honours including four domestic league titles, the FA Cup and Champions League, and is the man who can judge the expectations on Manchester City and what he thinks of the current crop of players.
Puma have signed Toure on a long-term basis, and the first boot Yaya has opted to wear is the Puma v1.11 football boots. The same as team-mate Sergio Aguero, Toure told us he wears the v1.11 because it's lightweight and assists his box-to-box performance.
The brands latest partnership is different to most others, with TourÉ agreeing a deal which will see a treasure trove of PUMA products distributed to under-privileged children across West Africa. Yaya is well known for his involvement in projects that give children in his homeland the opportunity to play the beautiful game.
