We can all picture the scene, the moments of anticipation before kick-off as the players march onto the pitch and line-up listening to the Champions League anthem. Here's a look at some of the latest adidas anthem jackets being worn by the world's best players.
Rolling out a new design for the Real Madrid, AC Milan and Chelsea anthem jackets, we might get a glimpse of the new tops during this week's Champions League action. They complete a stylish and professional look for the players as they march onto the pitch, whilst being a casual way of the fans showing their support.
For the 11/12 season, Real Madrid are wearing a classy white/gold home shirt which has been reflected in the anthem jacket. Worn by football megastars including Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka and Xabi Alonso as they walk out into the Bernabeu, it's a simple and clean all white track top with gold adidas detailing and gradient lines.
As expected, for the Italians the top takes on a few more style elements. The AC Milan players anthem jacket incorporates a hood and features a shiny polyester on the chest area. Worn by the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Robinho and Alexandre Pato, this one looks to have been designed more with the fans on the terraces of the San Siro in mind.
Chelsea complete the adidas line-up for Champions League club anthem jackets, with a top that echoes the Real Madrid design, but with colouring which doesn't quite reflect the Chelsea home strip. In a classic blue/white combination, the new Chelsea anthem jacket almost has a retro feel to it.
Expected to be available from 24th November, all three anthem jackets are available to pre-order now and cost around £45 GBP / $70 USD / €50 EURO. They're a great way for the fans to show their support, and show the players mean business when marching onto the pitch.
