Global Football Boots Spotting - 12/12/11

Kick-off your week with the latest instalment of SoccerBible boot-spotting. There was no shortage of sightings throughout the weekends action, as domestic league fixtures returned after the excitement of mid-week Champions League. See what players and football boots have made the grade this week! Share your thoughts online.

Khelil Chammam (Esperance Sportive De Tunis) Nike Superfly CR7 III

The FIFA Club World Cup has kicked off, and before the likes of Messi, Xavi and Iniesta join the competition, it was EspÉrance's left-back Khalil Chammam who was catching the eye wearing the new CR7 Vapor Superfly's.

Itay Schechter (Kaiserslautern) Nike Mercurial Superfly III Purple/Silver

Itay Schechter gave us an early look at what Nike have in store for the new year. The Kasierlautern striker was sporting the unreleased Purple/Silver Nike Mercurial Superfly III football boots scheduled for a January 2012 release, along with exciting new colour updates across each Nike silo.

Luis Perez (Monterrey) adidas Predator adiPower DB

Matching the colour shade of the Monterrey kit, Perez has chosen the adiPower Predator DB's, a similar shade of blue. Interestingly, the Beckham Preds along with the Predator SL's, are the only top-end boots in the range with a synthetic upper.

Connor Wickham (Sunderland) Umbro GT II Pro

With the likes of Kyle Walker, Jordan Henderson, Andy Carroll and Connor Wickham, Umbro are signing up some of England's talented young players. Wickham has been an Umbro man throughout his career, wearing the GT Pro I's and before that the SX Flare's, now he's sporting the new Umbro GT Pro II's also being worn by Kyle Walker.

Peter Crouch (Stoke City) Puma PowerCat 1.12

Crouch has now made the change into the new 1.12 PowerCat, after previously wearing the first generation and before that the v1. Crouch has been in great form, and playing against his old side Spurs at the weekend, Crouch's control and ball skill were at the top of his game.

Ryoichi Kurisawa (Kashiwa Reysol) Umbro Akusereita

A great spot from the FIFA Club World Cup Quarter Final match between Kashiwas Reysol and Club de Futbol Monterrey at the Toyota Stadium. Kashiwa Reysol player Ryoichi Kurisawa was spotted wearing a new look pair of the Japanese exclusive Umbro Akusereita SJ football boots.

Joe Cole (Lille) Nike Tiempo Legend IV Elite

Lille put their Champions League exit behind them with a 2-0 win over Dijon on Sunday. Former Liverpool man Joe Cole was in action wearing his Nike Tiempo Legend IV Elite football boots. Cole was instrumental in Lille's first goal after an interchange of passes with Mercurial wearer Eden Hazard.

Mikel Arteta (Arsenal) Puma King SL

Besides Robin Van Persie's goal of the season contender, Mikel Arteta was the main talking point from the Emirates Stadium on Saturday. The Spanish playmaker was wearing a blacked out pair of Puma boots. With a Puma King SL in the pipeline, Arteta could have been giving the unreleased boots an early run-out before their new year release.

Alexander Bugera (Kaiserslautern) adidas Predator X

Alexander Bugera was in action for Kaiserslautern wearing his all-white adidas Predator X football boots as his side took on Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga. Kaiserslautern earned a 1-1 draw with the German champions after a spectacular equalizer from Olcay Sahan.

Roque Santa Cruz (Real Betis) Mizuno Wave Ignitus II

Former Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz was in Primera Liga action wearing the latest Mizuno Wave Ignitus IIPearl/Black/Gold colourway as his side took on Valencia. Real Betis spring a major surprise by beating third-placed Valencia 2-1 after two stoppage-time goals from Ruben Castro.

Hidekazu Otani (Kashiwa Reysol) Umbro Speciali III

The FIFA Club World Cup has thrown up some interesting boot spots already. None more so than Hidekazu Otani's unreleased Umbro Speciali III football boots! The Kashiwaa Reysol midfielder was wearing the third generation Speciali as his side took on Monterray. The Umbro Speciali III is expected to land in January 2012.

Serdar Tasci (Stuttgart) adidas adiPure IV

A nice customisation job by Tasci on his adipure IV's, and rather than blacking-out the stripes he's  removed them completely. It's a good look that makes the sole-plate and blue colours stand-out, and it's a bit of an old school technique as we've previously seen players do this with adidas World Cups or Copa Mundials.

Cristian Molinaro (Stuttgart) Hummel Old School Star

An interesting boot-switch from Cristian Molinaro. The Stuttgart defender who usually sports the Nike Tiempo range, was spotted wearing a pair of Hummel Old School Star football boots as his side took on Bayern Munich, giving the retro looking boots great presence in the Bundesliga!
