Global Football Boots Spotting - 30/01/12

Kick-off your week with the latest instalment of SoccerBible bootspotting. A wealth of variety on show this week from all four corners of the globe! Check out what players and boots have made it in as we bring you the best of the weekends action. Share your thoughts online, on Twitter and on Facebook.

Philipp Lahm (Bayern Munich) adidas adiPure 11Pro

The adidas adiPure 11Pro is finally starting to settle in with a stronger array of players stepping out in the boots each week. Bayern Munich defender Phillip Lahm is one of the silos lead players and put in another performance wearing the miCoach enabled boots during his sides Bundesliga clash with Wolfsburg. Lahm's German team mate Bastian Schweinsteiger also put in another display wearing the re-designed 11Pro.

Tommy Smith (Queens Park Rangers) Umbro Speciali III

QPR winger Tommy Smith is an Umbro regular, having put in recent performances wearing both the Stealth II and Geometra Pro. Smith's latest choice is the increasingly popular Umbro Speciali III after being spotted wearing the brands iconic heritage boot during his sides FA Cup tie with Chelsea. On the opposing side, Chelsea skipper John Terry was still in action wearing the Speciali R.

Tomas Rosicky (Arsenal) Puma PowerCat 1.12

Arsenal and Puma player Tomas Rosicky was one of a number of players to debut the new Black/Shadow/LimePuma PowerCat 1.12 football boots. The Czech Republic international helped his Arsenal side to one of the season's best comebacks, with the Gunners recovering a half time 2-0 deficit to win 3-2 against Aston Villa in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid) Nike Mercurial Vapor VIII

For anyone tuning into Real Madrid's league clash with Zaragoza, it didn't take long to notice a change of footwear on the feet of Cristiano Ronaldo. Just seventy days after first wearing his highly publicised CR7 Mercurials, Nike's lead man was changing things up again. The Portuguese international surprised many by stepping out in the White/Blue/Volt Mercurial boots - a boot that hasn't received any player support since its release. Ronaldo's new boots featured the same sole-plate that is expected on the upcoming Vapor VIII.

Daniel Sturridge (Chelsea) adidas f50 adizero miCoach

Former adidas man turned Nike player Daniel Sturridge returned to the three stripes for Chelsea's FA Cup clash with QPR wearing the adizero miCoach. The Chelsea striker ditched his Nike T90 Laser IV's for the adidas speed boots in a move that surprised many. Sturridge seemingly remains a non-contracted player, which is surprising for a high-profile striker at his level.

Chinedu Obasi (Schalke) Puma v1.11

Last week Schalke's Chinedu Obasi was wearing the adizero miCoach, but the Nigerian's latest performance provided us with an interesting boot spot. Obasi was spotted wearing a blacked out pair of Puma v1.11 football boots. A quick look back at the players boot history reveals the striker went through an initial stint in the Puma v1.11 last year before converting to the three stripes in 2012. From the looks of things Obasi has gone full-circle, returning to the v1.11 once more. This time in a more discreet fashion!

Darren Bent (Aston Villa) Umbro Speciali R

Wearing a limited edition pair of Umbro Speciali R football boots, Darren Bent was destined to score against the club he supports. The England striker put Aston Villa 2-0 up against Arsenal before his side hit the self destruct button in the second half. Bent was in action wearing an unmissable pair of yellow Speciali boots, designed to commemorate his upcoming 100 Premier League goal landmark.

Jermaine Beckford (Leicester) miadidas f50 adizero miCoach

Leicester City striker Jermaine Beckford hadn't worn the adizero miCoach this season, preferring to play in the second generation f50's. Maybe that's because he was waiting for his custom miCoach design to arrive in the post! The former Everton man was spotted wearing his perfectly matching blue boots during his sides FA Cup match-up against Swindon Town. It was Beckford's second performance wearing the boots as he helped his side reach the fifth round scoring twice in Leicester's 2-0 win.

Santiago Garcia (Novara) Nike iD Tiempo Legend IV

There may be some boot sharing going on within the Novara squad! This isn't the first time we've noticed these great looking Tiempo's, after previously spotting Massimo Paci wearing an identical pair to those seen here on Novara team-mate Santiago Garcia. We still believe this White/Green colourway to be a Nike iD creation, despite a very similar release due to the Tiempo range in April. The official release isn't expected to have the green heel graphic seen on Garcia's boots above. But we'll have to wait and see!

Rhian Wilkinson (Canada) Umbro Speciali III

Canada's Rhian Wilkinson gave her Umbro Speciali III football boots a feminine touch with a pair of pink laces during her sides 2012 CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying match against Mexico. It's a form of customisation we've become used to seeing in the American and Women's game, with pink laces being a symbol of breast cancer charity support. Wilkinson was previously a Puma player during last years Women's World Cup wearing the v1.11, but looks to have recently made the brand switch to Umbro.

Amauri (Fiorentina) Nike Mercurial Vapor VII

This week's best dressed award goes to Fiorentina new-boy Amauri! We'd like to think the Brazilian-born Italian forward knew that his boots would perfectly match his new sides home strip when he signed! Making his debut after moving from Juventus last week, he helped Fiorentina to a 2-1 win over Tuscan derby rivals Siena which moved them into the top half of the Serie A league standings.

Carlos Sanchez (Valenciennes) adidas f50 adizero miCoach

Valenciennes' Carlos Sanchez gave his adizero miCoach football boots some stylish customisation at the weekend, showing that a little bit of black-market treatment can go well! His side suffered a 2-1 defeat to a ten-man Ajaccio side who moved out of the relegation zone with their fourth straight victory in Ligue 1. Sanchez's boots, that also featured personalisation on the side, were one of the most interesting customised boots on display across the weekend's games.
