The King Returns - Thierry Henry Scores Wearing Puma King SL

Thierry Henry gave a 20 minute cameo master-class on his second debut for Arsenal, scoring a dramatic winner against a resistant Leeds. It was the stuff of dreams after the French forward, on his first appearance for Arsenal in almost five years, broke the Leeds deadlock with a composed strike taking his tally to 227 goals for the club.

It was written in the stars. With 12 minutes remaining, Henry scored his 12th goal against Leeds in 12 appearances wearing the number 12 shirt in 2012. Arsenal's record goal scorer, who left the club in 2007 for Barcelona, returned with a new pair of Puma King SL boots in hand as the Emirates stadium witnessed a football fairytale unfold.

Thierry Henry returned with a new number and a new pair of boots. As one of Puma's high-profile signings of 2011, the New York Red Bulls striker put his unreleased PUMA King SL football boots directly into the spotlight with one of football's most memorable comebacks. Set for a January 30th release, the new Puma King SL boots are a lightweight update on the iconic King, inspired by Puma's 1986 Mexico Finale.

Designed to offer premium comfort with lightweight construction, the Puma King SL soccer shoes will feature a thin K-Leather upper with Puma's newest high tech materials. The boots have an expected weight of 218grams, undercutting such boots as the Nike Tiempo Elite. Henry joined team-mate Mikel Arteta in giving the boots their memorable debut - an occasion Puma couldn't have dreamed of!

The Puma King SL will be launched in the above White/Navy/Orange colourway alongside a Black/Red/Silver release and is expected to retail worldwide for around £160 GBP / $200 USD / €190 EURO.
