SoccerBible Meets Kyle Walker
The latest pro to sit down with SoccerBible is a defender who's been making serious strides in his career as one of England's hottest prospects. Tottenham full-back and England international Kyle Walker has taken the Premier League by storm, gaining a reputation as one of the best attacking defenders in the country.
The Sheffield born right-back sat down with SoccerBible to chat Tottenham Hotspur's 2011/12 season to date, football boots and working with Umbro. Walker lets loose on his Spurs team-mates, his Umbro GT Pro II football boots and who receives the most changing room banter for their on-pitch footwear!
Kyle Walker headlines the Umbro GT Pro range alongside fellow Premier League professionals Gael Clichy and Connor Wickham. As a long-term advocate of Umbro's speed silo, the flying full-back is happy with how the boots suit his position.
''With them being light, it's good for my style of play. It's a good fit as well which is comfortable but it's got the stability that a defender needs.''
Walker is enjoying the best season of his career - something that hasn't gone unnoticed by Umbro, who recently extended his sponsorship contract by three years. ''They've (Umbro) been good to me, ever since I signed with them when I was 17. It's good to know that they put their trust in me and hopefully I can repay them.''
