Global Football Boots Spotting - 09/04/12

The adidas Predator LZ stole the bootspotting headlines over the weekend as adidas kicked off their countdown to one of the biggest releases of the 2012 boot calendar. See who has made the cut this week as we bring you the best on-field boots in planet football! Share your thoughts online, on Twitter and on Facebook.

Kaka (Real Madrid) adidas Predator LZ

The adidas Predator LZ was the star of the show in Madrid as Kaka took to the field wearing his special edition boots. It's part of adidas' reveal campaign that will feature some of their biggest Predator names reveal each of the boots five Lethal Zones, as we countdown to the official launch of the anticipated adidas Predator LZ.

Samir Nasri (Manchester City) adidas Predator LZ

While Kaka had already taken to Twitter to give us a look at his new adidas Predator LZ football boots, Samir Nasri's appearance in the same cleats took us by surprise! The former Arsenal midfielder and f50 wearer went up against his old side wearing the special edition Predator LZ, marking a shift in silos for the Frenchman.

Clint Dempsey (Fulham) Nike Mercurial Vapor VIII

Clint Dempsey has rightly established himself as one of the Premier Leagues biggest Mercurial names. The American is enjoying a spectacular season and added to his goal tally with a brace against Bolton. Such form has generated interest from other clubs and we could see Deuce wearing a top four jersey next season.

Gary Hooper (Celtic) Nike CTR360 Maestri II

Celtic striker Gary Hooper was on target twice as Celtic clinched the championship with an emphatic 6-0 away win over Kilmarnock. Hooper was in action wearing the latest Black/White/Orange Nike CTR360 Maestri II colourway bespoke with his own name and number personalisation.

Adel Taarabt (Queens Park Rangers) Nike Tiempo Legend IV Elite

We're not sure about wearing gloves in April, but QPR striker Adel Taarabt stepped out wearing his personalised Nike Tiempo Legend IV Elite football boots for his sides trip to Old Trafford. It's been a testing season for Taarabt who couldn't find a place on the score sheet as Manchester United secured a comfortable 2-0 win.

Jonathan Walters (Stoke City) Pantofola d'Oro Lazzarini

Jonathan Walters has worn a variety of football boots this season including the adidas Predator and Nike Tiempo. But for Stoke's latest match, the Irishman stepped out in a pair of Pantofola d'Oro Lazzarini football boots during his sides 2-1 win over relegation struggles Wolves.

Paul Scholes (Manchester United) Nike T90 Laser IV

Champions in waiting Manchester United owe a great deal of their successful campaign to veteran midfielder Paul Scholes. The midfield maestro put in another spectacular performance wearing his Nike T90 Laser IV football boots, scoring a trademark goal to secure Untied all three points against QPR.

Juan Mata (Chelsea) Nike Mercurial Vapor VIII

Juan Mata helped keep Chelsea's top four ambitions alive with a late winner against Wigan. The Spaniard was wearing a FG pair of Nike Mercrial Vapor VIII football boots as he hit home in the 93rd minute with a goal that kept Chelsea on course for Champions League football next season.

Carlos Puyol (Barcelona) Nike Tiempo Legend IV

Barcelona kept the pressure on league leaders Real Madrid with a convincing 4-1 away win over Zaragoza that saw them close the gap. On a night where Lionel Messi bagged his 60th goal of the season, it was Carlos Puyol who brought Barcelona level wearing his Nike Tiempo Legend IV football boots.
