Global Football Boots Spotting - 16/04/12

Take a look at our latest selection of the best soccer shoes hitting pitches across the globe. From Brazil to the Premier League, there's nowhere better to get your weekly fix of football boot action! The adidas Predator LZ moved into week two of its exciting pre-reveal while the Nike Vapor VIII remains impossible to ignore!

Samir Nasri (Manchester City) adidas Predator LZ

The adidas Predator LZ reveal campaign moves into phase two with the latest special edition tease boot, which reveals a second part of the Predator's all-new Lethal Zones. Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri was one of the first adidas athletes to debut the new Predator LZ football boots last weekend and seems to be ahead of the rest when it comes to landing the latest pair!

Neymar (Santos) Nike Mercurial Vapor VIII

Nike will forever regret the day they let Lionel Messi slip through their fingers. Of course, having Santos superstar Neymar lead their Mercurial line must act as a slight sweetener! Described by Pele as a better player than his Argentine idol, Neymar's inevitable move to Europe can't come sooner! Once again, the Santos striker was in sensational form wearing his personalised Nike Vapor VIII football boots.

Nicolas Anelka (Shanghai Shenhua) adidas f50 adizero Custom

After being given a promoted player-manager role at Shanghai Shenhoa, Nicolas Anelka might have a little less time to design his own football boots! The former Chelsea striker was in action once more wearing his custom black/red adizero creations as he oversaw his sides 1-0 defeat to Tianjin Teda. Welcome to management Nicolas.

David Beckham (LA Galaxy) adidas Predator adiPower DB

The old-timer's still got it! David Beckham might be looking forward to a summer of Olympic football, but the LA Galaxy midfielder is still netting his trademark goals over in the States. Beck's curled home an impressive strike as his side beat the Portland Timbers 3-1. Beckham was in action wearing his signature adiPower boots, making us wonder if he'll be given his own Predator LZ design!

Didier Drogba (Chelsea) Nike Mercurial Vapor VIII

For all of the controversy that followed the Tottenham vs Chelsea FA Cup semi-final, there was one thing that you couldn't argue about...the quality of Didier Drogba's goal! The Ivorian set Chelsea on their way to a 5-1 romp over London rivals Tottenham wearing his personalised Nike Vapor 8 football boots, booking an FA Cup final date with Liverpool!

Nani (Manchester United) adidas Predator LZ

Nani found the back of the net wearing the partly disguised adidas Predator LZ football boots as Manchester United took one step closer towards lifting league title number 20. The Portuguese international has been one of the Predator's lead faces since switching to the silo last year. Unlike Samir Nasri, Nani was wearing the first pre-reveal boot that showcases the Predator's 'First Touch' section.

Xavi (Barcelona) adidas Predator LZ

For someone whose professional career has been perfectly timed alongside the evolution of the adidas Predator, it will be interesting to see what veteran midfielder Xavi makes of the new adidas Predator LZ. The Barcelona maestro was pulling the strings once more wearing the new boots as his side came from behind to beat Levante. You can bet adidas will ensure their lead Spaniard is wearing the latest Predator LZ for the upcoming El Clasico!

Florent Malouda (Chelsea) Nike Mercurial Vapor VIII

Former Nike CTR wearer Florent Malouda put the final nail in Tottenham's coffin, scoring Chelsea's fifth goal against the struggling North Londoners. The Frenchman became one of Nike's biggest athletes to switch across to the Mercurial silo after the launch of the Vapor VIII, having worn the CTR range throughout past seasons.

Max Alain Gradel (Saint-Etienne) adidas f50 adizero miCoach

Saint-Etienne number nine Max Alain Gradel found the net for his side wearing adidas' lead colour for the f50 miCoach range, as his side took on Brest in French L1 action. Brest midfielder Alejandro Alonso was also spotted wearing his partially blacked-out adidas Predator football boots, following a similar trait we've previously seen from players including Jamie Carragher and Joey Barton.

Ganso (Santos) Nike CTR360 Maestri II

Ganso put his name on the score sheet for Santos with a spectacular brace, including a remarkable lob over the keeper, wearing his Nike CTR360 Maestri II football boots. The highly sought Nike duo of Neymar and Ganso helped lead Santos to a 5-0 rout over Catanduvense in the Sao Paulo state championship on Sunday.
