Global Football Boots Spotting - 23/04/12

Global Football Boots Spotting - 23/04/12

It's heating up! We hope you're strapped in for what could be one of the most exciting ever conclusions to a Premier League season. The headlines are coming thick and fast but as ever, we've turned out attention to the latest and greatest football boots on show. Check out who has caught our eye this week!

Nani (Manchester United) adidas Predator LZ

Three zones in and the adidas Predator LZ is starting to gather momentum! The Premier League seems to be ahead of the rest when it comes to having the latest Predator LZ on show. Manchester United winger Nani was in action wearing the most recent 'Sweet Spot' Predator LZ as the league leaders were involved in one of the games of the season, drawing 4-4 with Everton.

Yohan Cabaye (Newcastle United) Nike CTR360 Maestri II

Newcastle United are in dream land. The Magpies are within reach of Champions League football next season and Yohan Cabaye is leading the charge. The Frenchman scored twice wearing his personalised Nike CTR360 Maestri II football boots as Newcastle beat Stoke City 3-0, moving them into the top four with just four games left to play.

Hulk (Porto) Mizuno Morelia Neo

The Mizuno Morelia Neo has made quite an impression in the short time it's been on the market. From the looks of things, the Japanese brand are on the verge of unveiling their latest colourway to the super light range. Porto hit-man Hulk gave us our first glimpse of the new boot as his side took on SC Beira Mar. We'll be bringing you a closer look at this boot very soon!

Samir Nasri (Manchester City) adidas Predator LZ

Samir Nasri has been adidas' lead player for their Predator LZ reveal campaign. The Manchester City winger is set to become a fully fledged Predator athlete with the introduction of the adidas Predator LZ, marking an end to his f50 days. The adidas Predator LZ football boots will be given the perfect stage next week, with both Nasri and Nani poised to start in the most anticipated Manchester derby in history,

Neymar (Santos) Nike Mercurial Vapor VIII

More of a kit-spot than a boot-spot. Neymar was in eye-popping action over the weekend, as Santos took the field wearing their new Nike third strip. The Brazilian was kitted out head-to-toe in Nike, wearing his personalised Nike Vapor VIII football boots as he helped lead Santos into the Libertadores Cup knock-out phase as Group One winners.

Hal Robson-Kanu (Reading) adidas f50 adizero miCoach

It's not a colourway we've seen too much of, but Reading's Hal Robson-Kanu gave the Slime/Metallic Silver/Blackadidas f50 adizero miCoach football boots a rare outing as his side sealed promotion into the Premier League. The boots were a US exclusive release, so haven't received any player support across European shores.

Mesut Ozil (Real Madrid) Nike Mercurial Vapor VIII

All eyes were on the Camp Nou as Real Madrid travelled to Barcelona with the aim of taking a giant step in pursuit of their first La Liga title since 07-08. News was circulating that Nike would give Ronaldo a boot update, switching him into the Sail/Red colourway. Disappointingly this wasn't the case, as Ronaldo and Ozil both took to the field in the same Mango launch boot.

Victor Valdes (Barcelona) Penalty S11

South American brand Penalty would have had nights such as Saturday in mind when they signed Barcelona keeper Victor Valdes. With a global audience of over 400 million people tuning into el Clasico, it was great exposure for a brand that remains relatively unknown across Europe. The Spanish shot-stopper was in action wearing Penalty's headline boot range - the Penalty S11.

Robin Van Persie (Arsenal) adidas Predator adiPower

He' s known to be superstitious when it comes to his football boots, so maybe that's why we're yet to see lead Predator athlete Robin Van Persie step out in the new adidas Predator LZ. Before picking up the PFA Player of the Season award, the Dutchman was in action against Chelsea as The Gunners failed to break through the Chelsea defence, drawing 0-0 in the London derby.

Albert Adomah (Bristol City) Puma v1.815 Ferrari

It's not the first time we've seen Bristol City's Albert Adomah in action wearing the limited edition Puma v1.815 football boots. Adomah clearly isn't worried about getting his collector items dirty, as he lined up against Barnsley in the Championship fixture. Released in 2009 in a collaboration with the biggest name in motor sport, the super light boots are one of the most desirable limited boots ever released!

Scott Cuthbert (Leyton Orient) Nike ID Tiempo Legend

Leyton Orient launched their new home and away kits over the weekend with Samsung being unveiled as their new official club sponsor. On modelling duties for the red home strip was Scott Cuthbert, who gave us a good look at his perfectly fitting Nike ID Tiempo Legend football boots.

If there are any players boots that you've spotted and think we should feature, mail us at: u2us@soccerbible.com putting 'Boot Spotting' in the subject field.
