Meet the New Messi...Literally!
Here's a name to look out for in the future - Lionel Messi! That's right, soon to be gracing the pitches of Ligue 2 in France, Messi is on the verge of signing for Angers SCO and no we're not joking...
We are of course talking about the Cameroonian-born Messi, whose full name is Lionel Messi Nyamsi, and who has just been offered a contract at French second division club Angers SCO.
Angers head of youth recruitment Axel Labatiniere said his club watched Lionel Messi Nyamsi, a 17-year-old central midfielder, playing for Toulouse Fontaines in February and was struck by his natural ability. "I spotted him playing a tournament in the south west of France. We gave him a trial at Angers. He has a really good feel for the game" . Unsurprisingly, Messi himself has said "My greatest wish is to play alongside Leo Messi."
