After starting with a blank canvas and a brand new concept to replace the PUMA v1 series, Peter and his team starting developing the evoSPEED over 18 months ago. From radical prototypes to player testing, the journey to the finished product has been a meticulous one.
Peter visited SoccerBible HQ on a recent trip to the UK, to share with us and the SoccerBible fans the story behind the PUMA evoSPEED. Peter talked exclusively about the components of the boot, and the inspiration behind it's construction.
The PUMA evoSPEED 1 football boots are already a hit with the likes of Sergio Aguero, Mario Gomez, Radamel Falcao and Olivier Giroud, and in doing so PUMA are equipping Europe's elite strike force.
