Under Armour are one of the newer brands to football, but in a relatively short space of time they've made quite an impression on the game. So when their football category manager Alex Chater travelled over to the UK, it was an opportunity to not just get Alex down to SoccerBible HQ to talk football boots, but also for an exclusive interview to share with the SoccerBible fans...

A lot of research and development goes into Under Armour's performance gear, they're a brand known for innovation and thinking outside of the box, so this was an opportunity to hear from Alex the tech and the thinking behind Under Armour's current football boots.

We think in the next few years we'll be seeing a lot more from Under Armour, especially after their acquisition of Tottenham Hotspur, and can expect to see some innovations in their football gear. Which made it interesting to hear Alex explain Under Armour will be "enhancing their direction changing story, redefining speed", and that they aren't in "a race to space to build the lightest cleat", but they will be looking to reduce the weight of their footwear.
