Following much anticipation, we can bring you up close to the new Nike Maxim - the match ball to be used across the EPL, La Liga and Serie A leagues for the 2012/13 season. The Nike Maxim follows in the company s long line of elite match balls, designed to meet the highest standards in performance.
As Nike's twelfth official European match-ball, the Maxim succeeds the popular Seitiro. In similar fashion to previous seasons, the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A will receive league specific colourways of the Maxim ahead of the 2012/13 season. These will be released alongside the standard version as featured here.

The engineering of Nike's elite-level match ball has stayed the same since the 2009/10 Ascente ball. The Nike Maxim stays true to the successful Geo II design, incorporating technology that allows the ball to travel faster, longer and truer than any other ball.
The synthetic casing on the Nike Maxim football creates a golf ball dimple effect, allowing players to have total control of the flight and movement of the ball. The five layer construction provides optimal first touch, while a 360 sweet spot gives a consistent response when striking the ball.

The Nike Maxim football is available to order now and is priced at around £85 / €100 EURO / $150 USD. The non-league standard version will combine with each league-branded ball to give you a choice of four designs.
