Global Football Boots Spotting - 20/08/12

Global Football Boots Spotting - 20/08/12

Three short months after Sergio Aguero won Manchester City the title, the drama and excitement of the Premier League returned with a bang. New season, new players, new match-boots. We've wasted no time in bringing you some of the best boots to make their season debut!

Gael Clichy (Manchester City) adidas Predator LZ

Clichy's days as an Umbro player look to have come to an end. The Manchester City full-back has been in and out of various boots in recent weeks including the Puma evoSPEED. For City's opening Premier League game, the Frenchman put some effort into disguising his Predator LZ football boots.

Hugo Rodallega (Fulham) Nike iD Mercurial Vapor VIII

Hugo Rodallega must have a serious collection of customised boots to pick from each week! His latest design however wouldn't have taken much time to come up with! The Columbian was spotted wearing an all blue pair of Nike Mercurial Vapor VIII football boots during Fulham's opening league game with Norwich.

Mahamadou Diarra (Fulham) miadidas Predator LZ

Another player who has a thing for customised football boots. Mahamadou Diarra usually likes to get creative with his custom Predators. But for his latest design the Fulham midfielder has kept it simple, sporting a great looking pair of white and black adidas Predator LZ football boots in Fulham's opening Premier League match.

Sergio Aguero (Manchester City) Puma evoSPEED 1

Puma will be hoping Sergio Aguero recovers quickly from the injury he sustained in Manchester City's opening league game with Southampton. City's main man was in action wearing his personalised Puma evoSPEED football boots as the Premier League champions kicked off their campaign in dramatic style, beating newly promoted Southampton 3-2.

Pascale Kueffer (Switzerland) Puma evoSPEED 1

Admittedly women's colourways are often better than men's. Once again, the women seem to have gotten a better deal with the evoSPEED! Switzerland goalkeeper Pascale Kueffer was spotted wearing the Blue/Navy/Lime colourway during the U-20 Women's World Cup. Beauties if you ask us!

Jordi Alba (Barcelona) adidas f50 adizero miCoach

Jordi Alba made his Barcelona debut against in the clubs 5-1 demolition of Real Sociedad, bringing with him his adidas f50 adizero miCoach football boots. The signing of Alba now means that both of Barcelona's defensive flanks are operated by f50 players, with Dani Alves occupying the other side.

Carlos Tevez (Manchester City) Nike CTR360 Maestri III

You never know what you're going to get throughout a season with Carlos Tevez, but City fans will be hoping for more of what they witnessed yesterday. The Argentine put in a fine performance wearing his personalised Nike CTR360 Maestri III football boots, scoring the opening goal in City's 3-2 win over Southampton.

Paul Pogba (Juventus) adidas Predator DB LZ

During his time at Manchester United, Paul Pogba wore both the adiPure and Predator range. Now following his publicised move to Italian champions Juventus, the French youngster has switched to the Predator DB LZ football boots. Juventus beat Serie A rivals AC Milan 3-2 in the Berlusconi Trophy.

Federica Di Criscio (Italy) Pantofola d'Oro Lazzarini

Didn't know the U-20 Women's World Cup was under-way? Honestly, neither did we. But we couldn t help noticing a pair of Pantofola d'Oro Lazzarini's making a surprise appearance during Italy's Group B match with Brazil. Federica Di Criscio was the woman responsible. Unfortunately her boots didn't see the full 90 minutes, after she was shown a red card.

Santi Cazorla (Arsenal) adidas adiPure 11Pro

Arsenal fans will be itching to see more of Santi Cazorla after his impressive club debut against Sunderland at the Emirates Stadium. The Spanish international was Arsenal's main creative threat wearing his Blue/White/Infrared adiPure 11Pro football boots. After already looking like one of the buys of the season, we wouldn't be surprised if adidas try to point him in the direction of the Predator LZ.
