Poll: Should Nike Continue The GS Line?

Poll: Should Nike Continue The GS Line?

How do you make the most sought after boot on the planet? Easy, if you're Nike. Make only 2012 pairs of your lightest ever boot and watch it sell out in a matter of minutes. The limited edition Green Speed truly was Nike's fastest ever boot!

After its staggering sell-out success, one question remains. Have we seen the first and last of the Nike Green Speed, or is there more to come from Nike's most radical boot? Will it be a one-hit-wonder or another addition to Nike's four silo line-up?

The Nike GS smashed all pre-order records following its release. The super-lightweight boots were sold out before people could even understand what they were! Nike's lightest, greenest and most radical boots to date created a lot of hype. And of course, they were worn by one of the most famous faces in the game!

Neymar was the perfect model for the Nike GS. Following Brazil's pre-Olympic friendly with Team GB, the Nike Green Speed had arrived, scoring one goal and assisting another in a 2-1 win for the Brazilians. Since then, each of Brazil's Olympic fixtures have provided another stage for the boots.

The Nike GS delivered a combination of lightweight innovation and recycled materials, resulting in the fastest, lightest and greenest boot Nike have ever made. With no silo to their name, they were a stand-alone boot and an example of Nike's appetite for innovation.

We don't know if Neymar will continue to wear the Nike GS following the Olympics. It all depends on how Nike want to use their star man. Will he go back to wearing Nike's in-line Mercurial colourways, or are their more exclusive boots in store for the Santos striker?
