Win Usain Bolt Signed Gear

Win Usain Bolt Signed Gear

It goes without saying that we're loyal and devote football fans here at SoccerBible, but we did find ourselves caught up in the excitement of the London 2012 Olympics. Excitement which reached boiling point when we met Usain Bolt!

Obviously Usain Bolt and football don't naturally go together, which is where our good friends at Pro-Direct and more specifically Pro-Direct Running came in handy. We were treated to an audience with one of the greatest sportsmen of all time, and lucky for us we didn't walk away empty-handed.

You might have read our exclusive interview with Usain Bolt, and it's no secret he's a big football fan. So it was a great opportunity to chat football with an athlete at the top of his sport, and to hear how keen he is to play the game we all love: "I definitely would want to play football. I think I'd be good...I think I'm a really good defender, but I like to play on the wings because then I can run more."

As with any opportunity we get to meet elite footballers and athletes, we always try to bring something back to share with our fans alongside an interview. On this occasion we've teamed up with the guys who made this opportunity possible - Pro-Direct Running - and have a Usain Bolt signed pair of Puma trainers to give-away.

Here are our pictures of six-time Gold medal winner and World Record holder signing the gear, and you might notice there's a little football memorabilia to mark the occasion for SoccerBible. Of course after Usain's declared love for Manchester United and even hopes of a football trial, we had to go for red colours.

If Usain is to get his trial or turn his attention to the beautiful game, then we're convinced of his footballing skills! As expected, on the day Usain was in a typically relaxed mood and having a laugh, and when he came across a ball in the sports hall it proved too tempting. Despite being on his mobile, Usain called the 'crossbar' and at his first attempt the defender/winger hit the target!
