Lukas Podolski Discusses His miadidas Football Boots

Adidas have lined up seven of their biggest name players to wear miadidas football boots across Europe this weekend. Premier League newcomer Lukas Podolski is the man behind these super stylish Silver/White/Red f50 adizero football boots. Check them out and see what the Arsenal man had to say.

When you think of adidas players, Podolski is certainly up their with the best. A dedicated adizero man since his stand-out performances at the 2010 World Cup, the German international clearly knows a thing or two about making a great looking pair of boots.

"When someone has created their own shoe and can play in it he or she then has a special motivation I think. You have created the shoe yourself and you are the only player wearing it in a match or at training. That gives you added motivation."

"Because of my links with Cologne and now Arsenal, that's why I selected it (red). But I've also added a few details, such as the German flag. You feel good wearing them. It is something special when you are able to create your own shoe as a player. For example, I have had my young son's name embroidered on it."

Podolski's miadidas f50 adizero football boots will be worn this weekend in Arsenal's blockbuster clash with Manchester United. Other adidas players including Ashley Young, Karim Benzema, Oscar and Fernando Llorente have all created their own designs.

Let us know what you think of Podolski's design efforts. A boot you would wear? Share your thoughts and join the conversation online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
