Sterling was denied by the crossbar as Liverpool played out a scoreless draw at the Liberty Stadium. The tricky winger became the first Premier League player to wear the Nike GS2 in the Premier League.

Jermain Defoe (Tottenham Hotspur) adidas f50 adizero miCoach

Away from the spotlight and drama of Stamford Bridge, Tottenham were going about their business in convincing style. Spurs put three past London rivals West Ham with f50 man Jermain Defoe scoring a brace in his new boots. The Tottenham striker led his sides attack wearing the Black/White/Green adizero boots while team mate Gareth Bale was sporting the lead colourway.

Eden Hazard (Chelsea) Nike GS2

Eden Hazard was given the perfect stage to thrust his GS2 boots into the spotlight. Chelsea took on Premier League Champions Manchester City at Stamford Bridge in a game that failed to live up to the hype. Rafa Benitez claimed a single point from his first game in charge of The Blues as the game ended 0-0. Hazard's boots were fitted with a SG plate.

Radamel Falcao demonstrated another splendid performance for Atletico Madrid at the weekend as they brushed past Sevilla with a comfortable 3-0 win. He's the most wanted striker in Europe and that can only mean good things for PUMA! The Columbian just can't stop scoring, having found the back of the net eleven times in twelve appearances this season wearing his evoSPEED boots.

Mario GÖtze (Borussia Dortmund) Nike GS2

Mario GÖtze became the first European player to step out wearing the Nike GS2 this weekend as the reigning Bundesliga champions came from behind to beat Mainz 2-1. It was his attacking partners Reus and Lewandowski who got their names of the score-sheet to help maintain Dortmund's impressive away run of form.

Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus) PUMA PowerCat 1.12

For a goalkeeper, Buffon likes to keep his footwear up-to-date! The veteran keeper stepped out for the AC Milan vs Juventus clash wearing the latest PUMA PowerCat colourway - one of our favourite boots to be released this winter! The Italian shot stopper couldn't prevent Robinho converting from the penalty spot as Milan produced one of their best performances of the season to beat Juventus 1-0.

Marc-Antoine Fortune (West Brom) Nike iD Mercurial Vapor VIII

Marc-Antoine Fortune gave his Nike iD boots a fresh flavour, customising the look with West Brom's club colours. It's always interesting to see how professionals customise the look of their boots. The striker went for a red and blue Nike swoosh combo on a white upper and sealed his sides emphatic win with a last minute goal. West Brom continued their fine run of form, beating Sunderland 4-2.

Paul Pogba (Juventus) adidas Predator LZ

After wearing the Nike CTR360 for the last few weeks, Paul Pogba is back in the three stripes. In an interesting move, the former Manchester United midfielder returned to the adidas Predator LZ for his sides blockbuster clash with AC Milan. Pogba was in action wearing the latest White/Yellow/Blue colourway as the Serie A holders lost to their Italian rivals.

Franck RibÉry (Bayern Munich) Nike GS2

Franck RibÉry surprised us all at the weekend, becoming the only player outside of the official GS2 squad to wear the limited edition Nike boots. He was also the only player wearing the boots to find the back of the net. The Frenchman, who obviously had good connections at Nike, scored in Bayern Munich's ruthless 5-0 demolition of Hannover.
