Global Football Boots Spotting - 17/12/12

Kick-start your week the best way you know with another feature of SoccerBible bootspotting. From the Premier League to Japan, we've covered the globe to bring you the best football boots in action. Take a look and let us know what you think. Join the conversation online, on Twitter and on Facebook.

Lionel Messi (Barcelona) miadidas f50 adizero miCoach

Leo Messi banged in his 89th and 90th goals of 2012 wearing this custom f50 colourway designed by miadidas competition winner Javier Pascual Mullor from Spain. Out of the 14,200 entries submitted it was Javier's slick White/Red/Black colour combo, complete with the Messi Icon logo, Argentinian flag, Leo 10 and acknowledgement to his newborn son Thiago, which Messi selected to wear in Barca's 4-1 win over Atletico Madrid.

Robin Van Persie (Manchester United) adidas Predator adiPower

When you're in the form Robin Van Persie is in why would you feel the need to change your boots? The Man United striker has been on fire in his first season at Old Trafford and has stayed loyal to his Slime/Indigo/Blue Predator adiPowers. Still reluctant to swap his lucky boots for the LZ it looks as if RVP is using a custom soleplate last seen on the adidas Predator absolute.

Edinson Cavani (Napoli) adidas f50 adizero miCoach

Edinson Cavani's 12th Serie A goal of the season wasn t enough to stop Napoli slipping to a 3-2 defeat at home to Bologna. Wearing his personalised Yellow/Black/Green adidas f50 adizero football boots the Uruguayan striker looked to have sealed the points for the home side only to see Bologna snatch two late goals.

Eden Hazard (Chelsea) Nike GS2

Eden Hazard made sure his Nike GS2 boots were in his flight bag for Chelsea's trip to Japan as they competed for the Club World Cup. While some members of the Nike GS2 squad have returned to their more familiar Vapor VIII boot, Chelsea's Belgian winger is obviously getting on well with the super-light speed boots.

Daniel Sanchez (Wellington Phoenix) Pele Trinity 3E SheOne

We don't know how many pairs of the Pele Sports Trinity SheOne are currently on the professional scene, but we can't imagine there are many! Over in the Australian A-League, Wellington Phoenix midfielder Daniel Sanchez was spotting putting the limited edition boots into action, while also getting his name on the score sheet as his side beat Adelaide United 3-1.

Alex Morgan (USWNT) Nike T90 Laser IV

Alex Morgan claimed an assist in the USWNT's 4-0 win over China in their final fixture of 2012. Good enough reason to feature her in bootspotting? We think so. She's been the stand-out women s soccer star of 2012 and is signing of the year wearing the Crimson/Black T90 Laser IV.

Jonas Gutierrez (Newcastle United) Warrior Skreamer

Newcastle United's Jonas Gutierrez recently announced himself as one of Warrior Sport's latest signings and was back in action wearing the brands 'Skreamer' boot for his sides tie with Manchester City. Gutierrez currently sits alongside Marouane Fellaini as two of Warrior's biggest name signings.

Patrick Mayer (Heidenheim) adidas Predator LZ

It's always a bonus when a player gets his hands on an unreleased pair of football boots. Patrick Mayer of third devision German league side Heidenheim was spotted wearing the upcoming White/Black/Gold Predator LZ colourway that is expected to land in January 2013.
