Global Football Boots Spotting - 24/12/12

Global Football Boots Spotting - 24/12/12

Christmas is here and the football is coming thick and fast. This past weekend was another two days of festive football that served up some great boot-spots from custom designs to signature colourways. Take a look at our selection of the best boots on show from across the globe!

Gabriel Obertan (Newcastle) adidas f50 adizero miCoach

It's not the first time he's switched speed boots, but once again Newcastle United winger Gabriel Obertan has ditched his Vapor boots in favour of the new f50 adizero. The Frenchman was seen sporting the leather editions in his sides Premier League match against QPR.

Christian Eriksen (Ajax) Nike GS2

Christian Eriksen might have been a week late in joining the Nike GS2 squad, but like Chelsea's Eden Hazard, the Ajax winger is one of the few players still putting his super light speed boots into action in the Dutch Eredivise as his side took on Utrecht.

Samuel Armenteros (Heracles Almelo) Nike Vapor VIII CR

A quick look across Europe's top leagues and it's not long before you see other professionals wearing Cristiano Ronaldo's signature Nike boots. This week it was Heracles Almelo's Samuel Armenteros who caught our eye as his side took on PEC Zwolle in the Dutch Eredivise.

Zinedine Zidane (Friends of Zidane) adidas Predator LZ

The adidas Predator has changed dramatically since Zinedine Zidane was the face of the boot. This past weekend saw him roll back the years for the Match Against Poverty charity game. Real Madrid legend Zidane reunited with his ex team-mate Ronaldo wearing the latest colourway of the Predator LZ.

Neymar (Friends of Ronaldo) Nike Mercurial Vapor VIII

Nike superstars Ronaldo and Neymar lined up side by side in a little large display of Nike's past and present. While Neymar wore his standard Vapor VIII's, Ronaldo went for the more suited Tiempo Air Legend II boot.

James Perch (Newcastle) Nike iD CTR360 Trequartista III

A quick look at James Perch's boots and you'd easily mistake them for the Nike Tiempo Legend IV Clash colourway - after all they were his last boots. But the Newcastle defender was most recently spotted in a custom pair of Nike iD CTR360 Trequartista III football boots as his side took on QPR. It doesn't take much to see where he got his inspiration from!

Marc-Antoine Fortune (West Brom) Nike iD Mercurial Vapor VIII

He's getting a reputation for his unique style in football boots. West Brom striker Marc-Antoine Fortune has shown us a real variety in recent months and his latest boot choice adds to his collection of custom Nike designs! For his latest Nike iD creation, he's given his Vapor VIII boots a striker blue/green colour combo that immediately caught our eye.

Craig Bellamy (Cardiff) Warrior Skreamer

He became Warrior's first ambassador following their deal with Liverpool and Craig Bellamy this past weekend stepped out wearing the recently released Warrior Skreamer football boots. The former Liverpool man ditched his adizero's in favour of the Warrior Skreamer - a boot that is now being worn by Everton's Fellaini and Newcastle's Guiterrez.

Moussa Sissoko (Toulouse) adidas f50 adizero miCoach Graphic

Toulouse midfielder Moussa Sissoko made a surprise appearance wearing the Graphic adidas f50 adizero football boots as his side took on Sochaux. Sissoko reverted back to the old f50 model after wearing the latest f50 in past weeks. The midfielder has favoured the adizero for a while now, but did spend a brief spell in the Predator LZ.
