Confederations Cup 2013 Match Ball - Adidas CAFUSA

The adidas CAFUSA Confederations Cup 2013 match ball - currently being used at the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan - already has us looking ahead to next year's international calender with real anticipation. The Confederations Cup might not be on every football fans radar for 2013, but with international giants Spain, Italy Brazil all in action it's not one to miss!

The World Cup host nation will give us an early taste of what to expect in 2014. For the Confederations Cup, the adidas CAFUSA match-ball will take centre stage in Brazil. The vibrant ball combines three symbols of Brazilian culture - carnival, football and samba.

It's only the second time that a specifically-designed ball has been launched for the so-call 'Festival of Champions'. The design and colour-scheme is a true reflection of the Brazilian national identity, with a particular focus on the southern cross constellation represented in the Brazilian flag.

Beyond the Brazilian-themed aesthetics, the adidas CAFUSA ball is built by the same adidas design team responsible for the popular Tango 12 ball used in this year's European Championships. The CAFUSA - given FIFA's highest rating and stamp of approval - uses 32 thermally bonded panels across a seamless surface for a more predictable trajectory, better touch and lower water uptake.

Brazil, Spain, Italy, Mexico, Japan, Uruguay, Tahiti and the winners of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations will each compete for the 2013 Confederations title across a two week fiesta of international football in June. Neymar, Iniesta, Balotelli - they'll all be getting their boots behind the adidas CAFUSA! We're loving the look of the ball. Let us know what you think!
