As the Nike Mercurial Vapor IX has demonstrated, the days of keeping a new boot model top secret until its official reveal are long gone! Give a footballer a shiny new pair of boots and before you know they'll be on Twitter/Facebook/Instagram.
The latest Mercurial culprit to showcase his new Vapor IX boots is Chelsea s forgotten man Florent Malouda. Other star Nike players including Neymar, Kevin-Prince Boateng, El Shaarawy and Robinho have all revealed which colourways of the Vapor IX they'll be wearing when the boot is officially launched later this month.

The hype surrounding the launch of the Vapor IX has soared since the beginning of the new year. The anticipated launch is just around the corner with Nike set to release two key launch colourways. From what we know, Nike's older names including Malouda will wear the purple design, while younger players such as Walcott, Hazard and GÖtze will be given exclusive rights to the Sunset colourway.
