Nike To Release Limited CR Mercurial IX To Celebrate Record Breaking Season
In a surprise move, Nike are set to release a highly limited CR Mercurial Vapor IX in celebration of Cristiano Ronaldo's record breaking 2011/12 season. Ahead of the official launch of the Vapor IX, Nike have created a separate design bespoke to Ronaldo featuring bold graphics and numbers.
The CR Mercurial IX will feature a white upper and pink swoosh, with a bold CR7 graphic on the medial side. The numbers that signify Ronaldo's record breaking goals scored and achievements during the 11/12 season are reflected across the lateral side of the boot.

Only 100 pairs of the boots will be produced worldwide, making the CR Mercurial Vapor IX one of Nike's most limited boot models in its history. Cristiano Ronaldo will wear the boots for the first time on Sunday January 6th when Real Madrid take on Real Sociedad - just one day before FIFA announce the winner of the Ballon d'Or award.
