SoccerBible In Barcelona - Live Updates From Messi's Boot Launch
We're in Barcelona with adidas for the launch of the f50 adizero Messi! The event will host a live Q A with Lionel Messi along with an exclusive tour of the Messi museum - host to some of Messi's match-worn boots and his four Ballon d'Or trophies! Stick with SoccerBible for the latest updates live from Barcelona.
Make sure you don't miss a thing. Follow @SoccerBible on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram for inside access bringing you behind the doors of this exclusive event. You can also follow @TeamMessi for all the latest on Messi's first ever Twitter appearance!
We've taken a tour through the Messi Museum, where Leo's infamous match-winning adidas f30 boots from the 2009 Champions League Final against Manchester United were on display! These pictures of Messi's custom sole-plate would have settled a few arguments back then.
The Messi Museum was also home to a number past adidas f50 generations including Leo's match-worn Electricity adizero boots used in the 2011 Champions League Final against Manchester United at Wembley Stadium - Messi scored Barcelona's second goal in their famous 3-1 victory over United.
Sat behind a desk covered from side to side with his four Ballon d'Or trophy's and signature footwear, Messi told us about his experience of designing his new boots in collaboration with adidas. "It was a great experience. It's not the first time and I hope there are many more to come in the future."
It's believed that Messi will wear his new boots for the first time when Barcelona play Deportivo La Coruna on March 9th - although we're sure adidas will make him a leather edition, unlike the ones seen above in his shiny presentation case! You can see our full feature on Messi's new footwear here.
Lionel Messi was launching the new exclusive adidas Lionel Messi range and Messi exhibition gallery in Barcelona, to buy the Messi collection visit, www.adidas.com/messi-collection and other online retailers. Join team Messi at facebook.com/teammessi or join the conversation on Twitter @TeamMessi.
