Kick-off your Monday with a fresh dose of SoccerBible boot spotting, bringing you the best pick of football boots from across the globe. A world-wide selection from the MLS to the A-League, see whose footwear has us talking today!
Mbark Boussoufa (Anzhi Makhachkala) Nike Tiempo Legend IV |
Former Chelsea youth player Mbark Boussoufa caught our eye this week wearing a pair of all white Nike Tiempo Legend IV football boots. The Anzhi Makhachkala winger, who's worn a range of boots including the adiPURE and CTR360 in recent months, certainly has a taste for more classic boots and you can't go wrong with a pair of white-out Tiempos! |
AÍlton (Terek Grozny) adidas f50 adizero Messi |
Brazilian footballer AÍlton JosÉ Almeida has dumped his Nike Mercurial Vapor IX football boots in favour of Messi's new adidas f50s. The former Copenhagen striker, now playing for Russian Premier League side Terek Grozny had previously been wearing the Sunset Vapor IX boots, but stepped out for his sides match against FC Kuban Krasnodar wearing Messi's signature colourway. |
Diego Chara (Portland Timbers) adidas f50 adizero |
Former Nike Tiempo player Diego Chara switched to the f50 adizero earlier this year and was most recently spotted wearing the rarely seen Silver/Black/Blue adizero colourway. The Portland Timbers midfielder had been wearing the synthetic editions of the yellow/black/green adizero launch boot. We're yet to see this boot hit European pitches, but it's great to see it getting some minutes in the MLS! |
Edgaras Cesnauskis (FC Rostov) Nike Mercurial Vapor VIII Custom |
We don't know too much about Edgaras Cesnauskis but this isn't the first time his boots have caught our eye. FC Rostov midfielder gave us another look at his custom Vapor VIII boots this past weekend as his side took on Rubin Kazan. Likely to be a Nike iD creation, Cesnauskis is one of many players using the service to create all white or black designs. |
Christian Tello (Barcelona) adidas f50 adizero |
Not that Barcelona need another f50 star, but they might just have one! Cristian Tello staked a claim for a regular starting spot after firing Barcelona to a comfortable 3-0 win over Zaragoza. The impressive winger scored two goals either side of half time wearing his leather editions of the Blue/White/Pink adizero. Another adizero superstar in the making? Quite possibly. |
Craig Bellamy (Cardiff City) Warrior Skreamer K-Lite |
Craig Bellamy has made a reputation for keeping himself in the headlines, and that's certainly been the case in recent weeks! The Cardiff City captain has been experiencing some difficulty with Warrior Sports after being spotted in a blacked-out adizero last week. But he was back wearing the American brand against Nottingham Forest, sporting black-out editions of the Skreamer K-Lite. |
Leonardo Gonzalez (Seattle Sounders) adidas f50 adizero |
Costa Rican footballer Leonardo GonzÁlez has tried something different with his f50 adizero boots, blacking out the three stripes on his Black/Silver/Lime f50s. The Seattle Sounders defender has been a long-term adidas wearer, so it's peculiar to see him disguise the branding on his adizero boots. Maybe there was just a black marker lying around the changing room or maybe he's after some endorsement money. Either way, his boots don't look too bad for it! |
Shinji Ono (Western Sydney Wanderers) Asics |
Western Sydney Wanderers marquee Shinji Ono helped knock out defending Aussie champions Brisbane Roar to qualify for next Sunday's A-League grand final. For the past year, the former Japanese international has been wearing a pair of Asics boots exclusive to the Asian market. Admittedly we don't know too much about them, but Ono did get them on the score sheet with a second half goal in the Wanderers 2-0 win. |
Ben Speas (Columbus Crew) adidas f50 adizero |
It seems like every f50 player is wearing the Blue/White/Pink adizero right now, but they don't all look like this. Something that instantly caught our eye, Columbus Crew striker Ben Speas has added some fancy laces to his adidas boots. Speas has been wearing the white laces since moving into the blue f50s earlier this month. A nice little bit of detailing that makes our job more interesting! |
