Juan Mata Delivers New Chelsea Shirt To Surprised Fan

Prior to the full reveal of the new 2013/14 Chelsea home kit, adidas asked fans to pre-order the new jersey without seeing it. For one lucky fan, it wasn't a case of waiting for the shirt to arrive at his front door. Chelsea maestro Juan Mata took delivery duties upon himself, surprising everyone - besides the oblivious receptionist - at a London office to hand over the shirt.

Mata only recently signed with adidas and is already enjoying his time with the three stripes! He was one of adidas' key faces for their "It's blue. What else matters?" campaign, used to launch the 2013/14 Chelsea home kit. Arriving at the location dressed in an adidas hoody, it's clear that he's settling in easily with his new sponsors.

Chelsea this week became the first Premier League club to reveal their uniform for the forthcoming 2013/14 season. Following the unforgettable tease campaign that took the sporting world by storm, adidas have revealed a traditionally styled blue kit, taking inspiration from past legendary shirts worn by Chelsea greats.

A spokesperson from adidas, commented: The campaign was aimed at inspiring the fans. The viral and iconic imagery that now adorns the club has shown the lengths that the players will go to for the club and the reaction from the fans has been outstanding .

The new strip is available now for pre-order and will go on sale May 15th 2013. Let us know what you think of the 2013/14 Chelsea Home Kit. Join the conversation online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
