Global Football Boots Spotting - 13/05/13

Time for your weekley round-up of the best football boots in action from across the world. SoccerBible boot-spotting brings you the ultimate selection of new, cutsom and classic boots making headlines from the English Premier League and beyond. See whose footwear has us talking today!

Bastian Schweinsteiger (Bayern Munich) adidas f50 adizero

Bayern Munich lifted their 23rd Bundesliga trophy on Saturday after a comfortable 3-0 win over Augsburg. Adidas used the celebrations to mark the unveiling of Bayern's new home kit for the 2013/14 season. Bastian Schweinsteiger also gave us a look at the next colourway in line for the f50 adizero series. The boots are part of adidas' wider Summer 2013 collection - a collection we'll see a lot more of in the UCL final!

Mladen Petric (Fulham) miadidas Predator LZ

This isn't the first time we've seen Mladen Petric in miadidas Preds, the Fulham forward has a history of opting for something a bit different when it comes to boot choice. Previously seen sporting a custom black and white pair Petric rates himself as a bit of a designer and slapped a pretty distinctive colourway on his LZ's for Fulham's 3-1 defeat to Liverpool in their final home game of the season.

Joe Hart (Manchester City) Umbro Speciali 4

One of few Umbro players left in the game, Joe Hart was wearing the brand new all white Speciali 4 for Man City's FA Cup final defeat to Wigan. Whiteout boots always look the business and combining that clean colourway with one of the most legendary boots in the game makes a pretty decent match for us. The England stopper was beaten by that late Ben Watson header to leave City trophyless for the season.

Akaki Khubutia (FC Mordovia Saransk) Nike Mercurial Vapor IX

The platinum Mercurial IX is, in our opinion, one of the slickest colourways released on the boot but the uptake amongst players has been relatively weak. When the Mercurial IX was launched pro's were accustomed to the Fireberry and Sunset colourways but Akaki Khubutia obviously prefers the teijin synthetic upper of the platinum which offers a more leather like feel and isn't found on any other version of the ninth generation Vapor.

Ricardo Pinilla (Cagliari Calcio) Umbro GT II Pro

Umbro players are hard to come by these day with the majority of their players such as Kyle Walker, Darren Bent and Pepe having now made the move over to Nike but Cagliari's Ricardo Pinilla was still flying the Umbro flag in the GT II Pro as his side took a point at Serie A champions Juventus on Saturday. The Chilean striker is part of a limited group of players still wearing the famous brand.

Sergio Aguero (Manchester City) PUMA evoSPEED CAMO

When PUMA lined Aguero up in the new evoSPEED Camo for the FA Cup final we're guessing they were banking on him scoring the winning goal and featuring on the front page of every paper wearing their unique eye-catching boots. Well, turns out Wigan didn't read that script. The Camo will go down as the craziest boot to ever be worn in an FA Cup final and there's no doubt Aguero's footwear caused a stir but the day will forever belong to Wigan Athletic.

Alfred N'Diaye (Sunderland) Mizuno Morelia Neo

Sunderland 's Alfred N'Diaye gave us a sneak preview of the new Mizuno Morelia Neo colourway at the weekend against Southampton after switching from Nike to the Japanese brand earlier in the week. The new colour update goes by the official name of Autumn Glory/White/Diva Blue or Orange if you like and isn't due to be launched until the start of the 2013/14 campaign. As for what's hanging out of his sock, your guess is as good as ours.

Mogoi Gabonamong (SuperSport United) PUMA v1.11

Whether he's aware of it or not we don't know, but SuperSport United's captain Mogoi Gabonamong is actually wearing a women's specific PUMA V1.11 colourway. To be fair to the big Botswana defender they're a decent colourway compared to the more feminine all pink versions released at the same time but we reckon he's probably liable to some stick if his team-mates know about it!

Clayton Donaldson (Brentford) Nike Mercurial Vapor II

Clayton Donaldson loves a retro boot and must have a pretty impressive collection at Griffin Park. The Brentford striker laced up in a pair of Nike Mercurial Vapor II's to bag a brace in his side's League One Play-Off Semi Final victory over Swindon last Monday. The Vapor II, released in 2004, is coming up to it's 10th birthday so credit to Donaldson for keeping them in good condition. One to keep your eyes on this Sunday in the play-off final at Wembley.
