SB Meets Daniele De Rossi - adidas Nitrocharge
The launch of the new adidas Nitrocharge 1.0 has challenged adidas with mustering a new squad of players, players who will wear the boot on the grandest stages in world football. On set for the adidas Nitrocharge commercial in Barcelona' s Estadi Olimpic, we caught up the three players selected to headline the Nitrocharge roster.
One man, Daniele De Rossi, seemed to be a shoe-in for adidas from day one. A player epitomised by raw energy and passion, De Rossi has matured into a stalwart in the midfield for his club and national team and is the perfect fit for the adidas Nitrocharge. Speaking exclusively to SoccerBible, see what he had to say on his new boots.
De Rossi joined team adidas in 2006 after lifting the World Cup with Italy, becoming an integral figure for the Predator range. "It's like entering into a family of players and feeling important because you're sponsored by the most important brand in the world."
So how does he feel about ending his seven year period with the adidas Predator? "I have used the Predator for many years, which I like a lot, but I have found the change in these is positive. They are so soft and give me so much more energy."
Armed with a new array of boot technology, the adidas Nitrocharge is a hard-hitting blend of innovation and style. For adidas, reaching the final design was a extensive process which involved player feedback from their top professionals.
"They have involved me (in the development of the boot). Especially Alessandro who I work with daily. He made me try a prototype which then had small changes made on my advice and other players." Watch the full video to hear more from De Rossi.
