Stylish Nike Template Given To New Club Training Tops

Nike have kitted out five of their biggest European hitters with stylish new training tops ahead of the 2013/14 campaign. You may have already noticed the new collections on show during your team's pre-season training but now we're taking a closer look...

Arsenal, Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester City and Manchester United have been sorted out with new Nike training apparel as the players jet off around the globe for their respective pre-season tours. All five clubs have been handed the same Nike template, each wrapped up in their own individual style.

To players, the training kit is an everyday item, the equivalent of your work suit or school uniform, after all, players spend more time in their training kits than they do in their playing shirts. There are certainly questions marks surrounding at what age you're too old to wear your team's replica shirt and training tops are an ideal alternative for the slightly older fan to represent their club without looking like a starry-eyed fan boy.

Nike have designed a familiar looking colour combo for Barcelona to wear on their new training tops. The mint green look was last seen on the club's 2010/11 away shirt and will be the colour for Messi and co to wear during the 2013/14 La Liga season after giving fans a sneak peek during their tour of Thailand and Malaysia.

Arsenal are currently cruising through their tour of Asia recording 7-0 and 7-1 wins and the players have been holding open training sessions for their fans in the Far East wearing their new Nike training tops. The Gooners new training kit is typical Arsenal and to be fair there wouldn't be many fans complaining if it was in fact the home shirt.

Manchester United's pre-season tour consists of trips to Thailand, Australia, Japan and Hong Kong. Whether Wayne Rooney remains a United player by the time United travel to Japan towards the end of the month remains to be seen but he had been sporting the new Nike training top before flying back to Manchester with a 'dodgy hamstring'. The United training top is another top looking piece of kit, drenched in royal blue with black sleeves and white shoulders, the same colour theme as the 2011/12 away shirt.

Manchester City have landed in South Africa to commence their training and fitness regime ahead of their Premier League opener against Newcastle. The blue side of Manchester were the first club to show their new training wear during their post-season tour of the US and after a few weeks rest City are back in action wearing their training ground look for the new season - a traditional sky blue top to match the club's home shirt.

Juventus' new training top could well be the coolest in our opinion, the shirt features a more toned down sponsor than the other four clubs to give it a an old school feel and one that could be worn away from the training ground too. Matching Juve's new away shirt, Tevez and his new team mates will be seen sporting the design when they head out to the US to compete in a pre-season tournament with Everton, Real Madrid and LA Galaxy.

All of the featured Nike training tops are available to order at selected online retailers including Pro-Direct Soccer.Join the conversation online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
