Having seen two of their teams crowned European champions in the past two seasons, adidas will be hoping for a Champions League hat-trick this campaign with heavyweights Chelsea, Real Madrid and AC Milan joining current holders Bayern Munich in European football's headline event.

To mark the return of the tournament, adidas have put together a fine collection of club styled Predator LZ boots using their famed miadidas service. Four boots fashionably decorated to celebrate the top teams adidas will represent in this seasons competition - as for Ajax, Benfica and Marseille, maybe next season guys.

So which is the best design? That's not an easy call. All four boast a tasty flavour of bold colour. AC Milan can already lay claim to one of the season's best looking club shirts and once again adidas are right on the money with their Predator LZ design. A fine mix of deep red tones across the upper combine beautifully with the white and black lethal zones.

For Real Madrid adidas have lifted a no-nonsense white/black design with a splash of orange - the same shade that is featured on this season's Madrid home jersey. Another winning design that would really look the part on the feet of Kaka, Angel Di Maria and Mesut Ozil. Unfortunately neither boots will receive any on-pitch action.

Chelsea's design might just be the pick of the bunch. Featuring a stunning all-blue upper mixed perfectly with white zones and stripes, these boots would be a huge hit as an official release. It wouldn't just be Chelsea fans queuing up to order a pair. The colour palette also lends itself nicely to the Real Madrid away jersey. What a tease.

Bavarian treble holders Bayern Munich have been given a three-tone Predator, designed in Bayern's club colours of red, white and blue. With Guardiola now occupying the hot seat, adidas will be hoping Bayern become the first club to retain Europe's most coveted title.
