Messi Stars in New "Speed of Light" Video
Leo Messi lights up the pitch as F50 Messi drops worldwide.
From today the new 'Messi' signature adizero boots are avialble in store and those of you that have them on pre-order should be getting your prized packages imminently. To celebrate, adidas have released a stunning new video starring Leo himself, showing us exactly how he lights up the pitch.
To explore the actions that make Messi the best footballer in the world, adidas fitted Leo up with an innovative head-to-toe LED light suit to helped capture his movements and show his famous touch and speed in a whole new light. As you'll see from the video the results are pretty amazing.
The video starts with Messi suiting up, making him look like an extra from Assassin's Creed at Christmas, then the lights go out and the fun begins. Known for his speed, agility and amazing movement with the ball, the LED effect shows this off in a fantastic arty fashion. Lights flash across the screen perfectly illustrating the free-flowing movement that Leo has become associated with.

When we revealed the new 'Messi' signature f50 adizero football boots back in June we were impressed by the 'Turbo/Purple/White' colourway and the original design. The graphic elements that take inspiration from strokes of light were like nothing we'd seen before, all credit to adidas for another original 'Messi' design.
The team at adidas have worked closely with Messi to develop a range that represents his personality and playing style and the new video shows this off perfectly. Andreas Konrads, Senior Product Manager, adidas Football said; "Each time we meet up with him more creative sparks ignite and ideas come to life. We will continue to push boundaries to remain at the forefront, just like Leo."
