Mesut Ozil Welcomed Into The adidas Family
Zidane and co welcome Ozil as an official adidas player.
Mesut Ozil has finally been unveiled as an official adidas player. After his long and complicated boot saga the Real Madrid midfielder has been welcomed to the adidas family by both his club and country team mates including Zinedine Zidane and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
Ozil was presented at the adidas store in the Spanish capital where he spoke to the media and even hopped aboard his own personalised bus for a tour across the city. The new face of the brand took to the stage dressed head to toe in adidas Originals before lacing up in his Preds for a quick photoshoot on the hallowed Bernabeu turf.
As well as talking about his relationship with the brand Ozil also reiterated his desire to stay at Real Madrid dismissing any speculation linking him with the Premier League. Ozil had of course already signed for adidas in July after a dispute with a certain Swooshed brand but the official presentation wraps up the deal and Mesut is now a complete one brand man.
On signing for the brand last month Ozil said "During my talks with adidas I felt at home immediately. adidas is the number one and has a unique history in the world of football. I wear adidas jerseys when playing for the German national team and for Real Madrid. We've now come full circle with this partnership, and I am very proud to be part of the adidas family".
That's that then, the Mesut Ozil boot saga is finally resolved. Everyone go back to what they were doing.
