We chat to the England Man United striker about his new boots.
Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck has made a flying start in his debut season as a Nike HyperVenom athlete, scoring two goals in his opening two Premier League fixtures. Attending the HyperVenom London Knockout event last week, the England international spoke exclusively to SoccerBible about life in his new Nike football boots.
Now an England and Manchester United regular, the 22-year-old was one of Nike's key recruits when drafting the HyperVenom roster. "When I first started testing the sample boots at the back end of last season, I told Nike this is probably the best boot I've ever worn. I really like them." 
As he explains, it didn't take long for the HyperVenom boots to impress the forward. "Mid-way through last season when I first received the sample boot, they (Nike) said that they were looking at making a new silo and wanted me to move into this boot. I tired the samples and really enjoyed wearing the boots and that's how it all started."
United boast a two-man HyperVenom front line, with strike partner Wayne Rooney joining Welbeck in the new Nike silo. "Obviously me and Wazza (Rooney) had been wearing the samples during the back end of last season." 
"He'd be telling me what he thinks of them and we'd discuss it before giving feedback to the brand. We gave our feedback and they came back with different sample boots. It's a really good process I think and I'm happy with how it all worked out. "
