adidas AC Milan Extend Partnership
AC Milan extend partnership with adidas until 2023.
AC Milan and adidas have extend their partnership together until 2023. The collaboration which started in 1998 has been renewed and will see Milan don the three stripes for another decade, stretching the relationship to 25 years.
Since 1998 Milan have bagged 11 trophies: 3 Italian Championships, 1 Italian Cup, 2 Italian Supercups, 2 UEFA Champions Leagues, 2 UEFA European Supercups and 1 FIFA Club World Cup. Not bad going. Adidas have designed some of the most distinctive and best looking kits in the game for AC Milan in recent years so it's no surprise that the relationship has been reinforced to ensure that the adidas logo will remain on the famous black and red stripes.
The agreement has been announced by Adriano Galliani, A.C Milan Vicar Vice President and Managing Director A.C.Milan, Jean-Michel Granier, Managing Director adidas Italy, and Herbert Hainer, CEO adidas Group (the geezers in the top pic).
"I am proud to have signed the extension of the partnership with AC Milan" said Jean-Michel Granier Managing Director adidas Italy "We work side by side with AC Milan implementing several activities always with great results, that's why it has been natural to renew the contract 4 years before the expiring date. An agreement that will allow us to celebrate 25 years together and to write new amazing pages in football history".
"Today, we lay the foundations for writing new pages of this relationship that gave us great satisfactions. We will reach 25 years together because starting from 1998 we shared values, strategies, will to excel, innovative spirit and many victories. The three stripes brand was with us in all the great dates, on and off the pitch- said Adriano Galliani, Vicar Vice President and Managing Director A.C. Milan.
AC Milan and adidas' relationship doesn't stop with replica. Intensive collaborations between the two brands included the miCoach Elite System. Presented last February in Milan, the miCoach developed starting in 2010 and was tested by Milan players and staff before the official launch. AC Milan also have an agreement with adidas to develop new products and technologies in football.
