Global Boot Spotting - 21/10/13
The pick of the week's best football boots from across the globe.

As domestic football returns we scroll through the week's action to take a look at which players have switched footwear, who's wearing new and custom colourways and which Premier League player gave us a sneaky look at an unreleased boot. It's Monday, it's boot spotting, get stuck in...

Lee Keun-Ho (South Korea) Mizuno Morelia Neo Japan Editions

Lee Keun-Ho was the first player we spotted in Mizuno's new premium 'Made in Japan' pack released last week. The South Korean was in action for his country wearing the new Neo colourway exclusive to the Mizuno's top end model. Made from the highest quality kangaroo leather the 'Made in Japan' editions take 72 times as long to produce than the standard issues.

Jonathan Howson (Norwich City) NikeiD CTR360 Maestri III

He may not have scored the goal of the game, that belonged to Jack Wilshere but Jonny Howson makes the cut into this week's boot spotting for lacing up in a custom pair of Nike CTR's. Howson created an all white pair with subtle blue swooshes and laces and christened them with a goal at the Emirates. Tidy iD job we reckon.

Willian (Chelsea) Nike HyperVenom

After wearing the Mercurial for the start of the season Chelsea's £30m winger Willian switched into the Nike HyperVenom at the weekend as Moruinho's men stuck four past Cardiff. Willian has personalised his hi-vis HyperVenoms with his squad number #22 and a Brazilian flag.

Leonardo (Ponte Preta) adidas Predator LZ

On first glance we thought Leonardo was wearing a custom pair of Preds at the weekend but on closer inspection the Ponte Preta striker has actually just coloured over the green launch LZ colourway with a black pen. Despite a 1-1 draw with Fluminense Ponte Preta remain in the Brazilian Serie A relegation zone.

Vladimir Granat (Dinamo Moscow) Nike HyperVenom

Another player who took boot personalisation into his own hands at the weekend was Dinamo Moscow's Vladimir Granat. This is something we've seen before on a few players including Liverpool's Iago Aspas where the player has coloured in the upper of the HyperVenom to design a pretty slick pair of blackouts.

Andy Parrish (Morecambe) PUMA King Pro

In amongst all the flash modern boots there are still a few classics that more than pull their weight, and one of those is the PUMA King Pro. A different level of cool, no nonsense, top performing boot. Any Parrish was sporting a pair in the fourth tier of English football for Morecambe in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Wimbledon.

Chico Flores (Swansea City) NikeiD Mercurial Vapor IX

Chico Flores is partial to custom boot, the Swansea defender kicked off the season against Man United wearing a white/black Mercurial before reverting to the launch colourway and now he's back in a custom Merc. Not many centre halves wear Mercurials but Flores has created a black/volt pair in which he's trying to claim Swansea's final goal in their 4-0 hammering of Sunderland on Saturday.

Roberto Soldado (Tottenham Hotspur) adidas F50 adizero

It looks like Roberto Soldado jumped the gun on Sunday. The Spurs striker wore what is expected to be part of adidas' Enlightened Pack scheduled for release later this week. He might have upset a few people at adidas HQ but after scoring his first goal from open play and setting up another we doubt he'll care and nor do we, he's our fantasy football skipper. Naughty boy.

James Troisi (Melbourne Victory) adidas Predator LZ SL

Predator LZ SL boots are rarely supported by pro players and we're never quite sure why. What is essentially Pred lethal zone technology placed on an F50 to create an all round lighter Predator should, on paper, be a winner but for whatever reason they're a rare spot on pitch. Melbourne Victory's James Troisi laced up in a pair of the latest unmissable infrared colourway as his side played out a 2-2 draw with Adelaide United.

Antonio Floro Flores (Sassuolo) NikeiD Mercurial Vapor IX

Another Flores in custom Mercurials at the weekend was Sassuolo striker Antonio Floro Flores. Floro Flores' new blue/black/not too different from the CR Galaxy boots did the trick as he scored the winner in the Serie A new boys first win of the season over Bologna.
