we continue to take a look at the original collaboration between Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto and adidas Football. Released in 2006, the adidas Y-3 Yamamoto +F50 Tunit YY football boots were produced in four creature styles; a Dragon, Tiger, Wolf and in this case, an Eagle.

The collection remains one of adidas' most premium boot lines. Restricted to exclusive stockists at the time, the boots were quickly snapped up by collectors before disappearing from the scene. Yamamoto leant on Japanese artist Taishi Hayashi for inspiration and together they created a group of exquisite designs.

Each boot came presented in a cage brandished with a plaque embossed with the adidas logo and Yamamoto's signature. The exclusive collaboration took football boot design to a new level.

Like the rest of the adidas Y-3 Yamamoto +F50 Tunit YY pack, the face of the eagle sits on the front of the boot. The limited edition boots are now a sought after collectors items, with only 1000 pairs released worldwide. Each pair came locked in its own cage, brandished with a plaque embossed with the adidas logo

The +F50.6 Tunits saw an array of other different designs, from standard colourways to country inspired designs for the 2006 World Cup. The boots offered players the chance to alter bewteen FG, SG and HG studs, effectivley giving you three boots in one.
