Throwback Thursday | Diadora Brasil Italy
We turn the clock back to take a look at a Diadora classic.

Every Thursday we'll be taking a look back at one of our favourite old school boots from seasons past as part of our new Throwback Thursday feature. First up we've dug into the SB archives to pluck out the Black/Fluro Diadora Brasil Italy. A timeless classic worn by some of football's all time greats.

The Diadora Brasil Italy was made with a fully softened kangaroo leather upper and featured the distinctive large Diadora logo and heel inscription. Diadora has slowly disappeared from the football scene over the last decade with Antonio Cassano one of just a few players still wearing the brand.

Diadora's glory days were in the 80's and 90's when players such as Roberto Baggio, Marco Van Basten and Roberto Bettega all laced up in Diadora boots. Diadora rarely ventured from Italian shores with their sponsorships and during the 1980's the entire Italian national team were wearing their products.

The Brasil Italy boot is Diadora's ultimate heritage boot that's held in the same regard as adidas' Copa Mundial, Umbro's Speciali and the Asics Testimonial. Combining superb comfort with expert ball feel the Diadora Brasil Italy is a true classic in the boot world and can still be picked up from some retailers worldwide.
